I took the Embassy Row/ Foggy Bottom tour with Chris and very much enjoyed it. The route is not one of the beaten tracks for runners in DC and takes you through Georgetown, as well as past the Naval Observatory/ VP's residence. I have lived in DC all my life and did learn a few things. For those using this... More

I was able to do two tours with City Running Tours while in DC. I like running on vacation, so I signed up for two! I did the Chinatown/68 riots tour with Sara, and the Foggy Bottom/Embassy Row tour with Chris. Both tours were exceptional, the highlights of my whole week in DC! We saw interesting things, heard interesting stories,... More

I've been in DC for four years, and I thought I knew DC. Nope! Sara showed us some hidden treasures, filled our heads with stories of DC history from all eras, and gave us some great pro tips. Sara is a delightful running guide, and this is a wonderful tour. I hope to use this company for an outing for... More

While trying to investigate where I could run in DC for my 13 mile training run, I stumbled across City Running Tours who have regularly scheduled runs or you can hire a guide for a custom distance. I chose a personalized run. Forget the tour bus - you have to do this! Hannah ran me through neighborhoods on the first... More

I thoroughly enjoyed our 10K U street run! The pace was great, Sarah was an excellent guide and running buddy-we ran on a Sunday and there was a farmers market right where the run ended. Such a fun day and and a great way to end our run!

I found this on tripadvisor.com and decided to give it a shot. It was very last minute (2 days before my trip), luckily Sara was very prompt with her emails and was able to set me up with an early morning (6am) personalized solo run. I did an early morning run, because my family already had a full agenda, luckily... More

I did the Foggy Bottom 10K tour this past Sunday with Chris. Chris was punctual and introduced himself right away. He told us a bit about the route we'd be taking and asked at what pace everyone felt comfortable running. The run started at DuPont Circle Fountain, went up through Embassy Row, past the National Cathedral, and down through Georgetown.... More

My brother and his fiance were visiting me in DC for the weekend. We had 36 hours to cram as much as possible into their short trip. City Running Tours made this all possible. Our guide, an incredibly down-to-earth, personable woman, arrived fully-prepared with her talking points and a route. She was able to design the route to pass by... More

There is a lot competing for your attention on a trip to Washington DC. We have run with City Running Tours before and always find it to be an excellent introduction to a city we haven't visited before. Our running tour in Washington was no exception. The tour was tailored to our specific interests and, as always, we loved that... More

I was recently visiting Wsahington, DC and still completing marathon training. No problem. I signed up with City Running tours in DC. We arranged a private running tour at the date and time I requested. The tour guide, Christine, arrived on time at my hotel with water bottles and snacks in her back pack. A pre-arranged 10-mile route was the... More
