This is the only memorial for WWI in DC - the forgotten war. It is hidden away, but actually on the Mall, not far from the WWII memorial and the Korean memorial. It is actually not a federal memorial, but rather a District of Columbia memorial. It is,however, administered by the National Park Service.

Simple little "temple" near the Korean and Vietnam memorials. It is attractive, less so in my opinion after renovation and destruction of holly trees that once made it a retreat. There are no displays, no striking sculptures, just a little memorial to the D.C. WW I service people; one now being co-opted by some as a "national" memorial.
