I had always wanted to attend a fancy spa and this was it! I was offered slippers and rose-ginger tea at check-in. The tea was accompanied by a warm wash cloth. There were orchid blossoms everywhere. The experience just go better from there. A incredible water room and spa to use as long as you like, before or after your... More

My husband bought me a gift certificate for the Mandarin Oriental Spa. I decided to use it on our anniversary day in May of this year. I scheduled 2 massages-a full body for an hour and 20 minutes and a head massage for 25 minutes. Upon my arrival I was given a cursory tour of the locker room. I had... More

Whenever I'm in DC on business I make it a point to book a treatment at the Mandarin Oriental spa. Room rates at the MO are exorbitantly high so I stay elsewhere; the prices at the spa, while admittedly high, are comparable to many high-end facilities and well worth the indulgence. This, my third visit in eight or nine years,... More

The spa had all the amenities needed to make for a relaxing day. Excellent massage and pleasant staff. Music is low, so while getting a massage, you can hear other massage room doors open and close. Would live to do it again!

Ive had many massages in my life - this was one of the best! The atmosphere is extremely tranquil from the moment you are greeted with tea in the reception to the massage room which has lovely herbs laid out on the massage table. I enjoyed the steam room and relaxing lounge before and after my treatment- Only wished I... More

I have had many massages in recent years but nothing is better than this spa. The facilities are wonderful, the atmosphere is calming and you can spend several hours lounging about. Teresa was the most incredible masseuse and I am definitely going back. Just a tip- go on a weekday, they have discounted services and it's a lot less busy.... More

A gift certificate allowed me to experience the Mandarin on a recent trip to D.C.; while I didn't stay at the hotel, I did want to get a massage at the spa, as MO hotels are known for their excellent Spas. I was very impressed! The place is calming, the service low-key and attentive, and the fascilities outstanding (I loved... More

I chose the Spa at the Mandarin Oriental because of their heat and water experience and was not disappointed! I arrived early to have time to enjoy the experience and then did a Time Ritual, where I received a body scrub and massage. Heavenly, is all I can say! If you're looking for a truly relaxing spa experience in DC,... More

This was a repeat visit and found the spa had not declined in either appearance or quality since my first visit five years ago. You feel relaxed as soon as you enter the spa and this continues until you leave. The spa treatments are an indulgence, but you get what you pay for!!!! Most comfortable massage table (heated and padded... More

I really enjoyed the Spa at the Mandarin Oriental. I spent an afternoon there enjoying the amenities before my massage. I loved soaking in the large vitality whirlpool and then relaxing in steam room (the rain shower, however, wasn't my favorite). The daybed relaxation room was small and all the daybeds were occupied, so I wasn't able to enjoy that.... More
