I spent the day at the spa last weekend with several girlfriends. The facilities are fantastic, we especially enjoyed the clothing optional whirlpool and steam room. The relaxation room was wonderful, if a bit crowded, and the showers and vanity areas were great. The treatments I got (body wrap and 80 minute hot stone massage) were some of the best... More

I LOVE going to spas. I love pampering myself! I have always wanted to go to the Mandarin spa, but I know that traveling to its location will be annoying to me because of the DC traffic. A few years ago, I booked services there for my uncle because this spa customizes massages for specific needs (he is diabetic) and... More

The Spa at the Mandarin Oriental - Washington DC is a relaxing experience, even if you're not going for a traditional treatment. A better-than-average gym and indoor pool are very good but the multi-head, semi-circular shower is heaven. Steam room, sauna, and hot pool, and quiet room round out the experience and available amenities for those not "paying" for treatments.... More

I had always wanted to attend a fancy spa and this was it! I was offered slippers and rose-ginger tea at check-in. The tea was accompanied by a warm wash cloth. There were orchid blossoms everywhere. The experience just go better from there. A incredible water room and spa to use as long as you like, before or after your... More

My husband bought me a gift certificate for the Mandarin Oriental Spa. I decided to use it on our anniversary day in May of this year. I scheduled 2 massages-a full body for an hour and 20 minutes and a head massage for 25 minutes. Upon my arrival I was given a cursory tour of the locker room. I had... More

Whenever I'm in DC on business I make it a point to book a treatment at the Mandarin Oriental spa. Room rates at the MO are exorbitantly high so I stay elsewhere; the prices at the spa, while admittedly high, are comparable to many high-end facilities and well worth the indulgence. This, my third visit in eight or nine years,... More

The spa had all the amenities needed to make for a relaxing day. Excellent massage and pleasant staff. Music is low, so while getting a massage, you can hear other massage room doors open and close. Would live to do it again!

Ive had many massages in my life - this was one of the best! The atmosphere is extremely tranquil from the moment you are greeted with tea in the reception to the massage room which has lovely herbs laid out on the massage table. I enjoyed the steam room and relaxing lounge before and after my treatment- Only wished I... More

I have had many massages in recent years but nothing is better than this spa. The facilities are wonderful, the atmosphere is calming and you can spend several hours lounging about. Teresa was the most incredible masseuse and I am definitely going back. Just a tip- go on a weekday, they have discounted services and it's a lot less busy.... More

A gift certificate allowed me to experience the Mandarin on a recent trip to D.C.; while I didn't stay at the hotel, I did want to get a massage at the spa, as MO hotels are known for their excellent Spas. I was very impressed! The place is calming, the service low-key and attentive, and the fascilities outstanding (I loved... More
