Potomac Park is the main park that contains the subdivisions of East Potomac Park and West Potomac Park. It's located in the Southwest quadrant of Washington, DC. The park and its components are operated by the National Park Service. The Lincoln Memorial’s Reflecting Pool is the park’s northern boundary. The Washington Channel marks the eastern boundary, and the Potomac River... More

My wife and I visited the Potomac Park while taking a tour of the Washington D.C. Area. West Potomac Park, the area between the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial, includes the Tidal Basin and the beautiful cherry trees. Hains Point on the tip of East Potomac Park, features the giant bronze statue

Walking along the river in winter was terrific. It was cold but very pleasant and well worth doing. There weren't many people there which made it peaceful and nice.

I love to cycle or run at East Potomac Park. There are plenty of people there so it is safe. Now if you want to go on a picnic, I may not suggest this for you. Many locals fish here and there are remnants of fishing all around. Also, if there has been a lot of rain in the few... More

This park, with its great views, water front, open spaces, golf course and generous parking, seating and tables should be a shining star of the district. Instead, it is trash strewn and inaccessible. The walking path is in such disrepair as to be treacherous; people don't even use it--they walk in the street! I saw plenty of park employees--taking naps... More

I would like to see the park get a facelift and more activities for the kids. I also need to have a safer walking trail. I have not been able to walk on the side walk, it is not even and has unsafe cracks on the ground. and the street is not safe, road has to be shared with bikers... More

We held our 15th annual family reunion in DC and took advantage of the beauty of the area. The weather was beautiful and the adventure was equally nice! Gets pretty crowded around this time of the year. You'll have to drive because there isn't transportation to get here.

Only 50 m pubic swimming pool with a view of Washington Monument. Great place to spend time outdoors, walking running or biking, or enjoying the golf course or pool.
