This was the best money we spent in DC. Our tour guide "Hoya Hank" aka "Honkin Hank" was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable of the area and history. The ride was very informative as well as entertaining. We were able to see so much from the tour that it helped us build our itinerary for the rest of our trip.... More

Good on a rainy/cold day and a good way to get around and see many attractions quickly. We had 3 different drivers and the quality of the tour/information varied. One guide knew very little and preferred to share stories about himself and another was informed and interesting. We had some trouble locating stops but once aboard were given a map.... More

Our scout troop (16 girls ages 9-16 and 3 adults), Took the Night Tour of DC 3/28/2015 with Sooner Steve. He was an awesome tour guide. Even when we had to take a slight detour due to a road closure, he knew the buildings, history, and fun facts. Girls loved him. One of my girls said the Night Tour was... More

Washington is a beautiful city, but complicated to get around by car. We really enjoyed being chauffeured by Old Time Trolley Tours driver, Joe. He had only been a permanent driver for about 11 months, originally from Chicago, but was very knowledgeable about Washington and its many landmarks, and was entertaining as well.

Great tour of the city. Highly informative tour guides and stopped off at all the top sights in the city, always seats available. We booked the tickets online and did have a slight issue finding where we needed to pick these up from not really knowing the area!

We really did not enjoy this tour. The tour quides spoke to fast and low. Several stoops were blocks away from the attractions.

If you are in DC for a very short period, would recommend the Trolley Tours. If you have bought the 24hr ticket, you could skip stopping at the Smithsonian museums and visit them on a different day - this is pretty easy to do since they are all in the same area within walking distance of each other. I particularly... More

I booked this because my wife is handicapped (walks with a cane) and I was sorely disappointed. We took the metro to Arlington Cemetary and got on the trolley to the Lincoln Memorial. So far so good. After we visted the surrounding memorials, (Vietnam Veterans, Korean War), we went back to catch the trolley, and this is where the disaster... More

The hop on / hop off concept is a great way to see DC and get a general orientation and bearing of the city. We took three buses for a one day tour. One driver was mediocre, we could barely understand him. The second was good and the third was excellent. If we didn't have dinner plans we would have... More
