To get around in Washington DC, we selected the old trolly tour. The driver was friendly, knowledgeable, entertaining and gets our highest marks. As far as the tour itself, I would not do it again. We thought that getting on and off was an advantage for us, but in reality it was not that easy. After getting off and waiting... More

We made the mistake of getting off at an early stop (the National Archives) and just couldn't get back on a trolley. We waited 20 minutes between trolleys, each one full to capacity with no one getting off. On a looping sight seeing tour, why would they not send out empty buses every once in a while? We ended up... We booked our tickets online thru Trusted Tours, printed them off and the local tour operators did not want to honor them. We were held back on the main Trolly Tour for 70 minutes and on the DC Ducks we were held back until all those who bought tickets at the local booth boarded and then the vehicle was full... More

My wife and I arrived in Washington DC with a map of the sights and no other plan than to check out Old Town Trolley at their location at 10th Street and E Street. As it turned out, that was plan enough. The hop-on/hop-off trolleys stop at all the major sights and the drivers given a running description of the... More

I can't say enough how much my family enjoyed our tour. It was perfect for my family. We visited DC with a 5 year old boy, my 85 year old grandmother, my parents, and my 31 year old brother . My mother, the school teacher, loved the many new facts (she knew a great deal, but even she learned new... More

We took the hop-on day tour, and also the night tour. I called ahead to make sure they could accommodate me in my wheelchair. They were wonderful! The lift was smooth and comfortable, and we had a great time seeing all the sites, and both guides were fantastic. So much better to have live guides rather than recorded. Well worth... More

My husband and I visited DC with our 2 small kids and did not have a car to see the sights. The trolley was a fantastic way to see the sights and not have to worry about a car. Our hotel was in the Woodley Park area, which is a little further from the city center, but the trolley route... More

We had a layover between Amtrak trains and wanted to put the time to good use. We did 2 routes in about 3 hours. We were able to get our tickets in Union Station and catch the trolley in front of the station. Our tour narrators were both good. We did not get off at any stops due to limited... More

We found that for a family of four, one day usage was expensive and the service was terrible. They did not run enough trolleys to handle the customer needs, so quite often a trolley would be full and just drive right by you and your family with the driver not stopping, leaving you to have to wait for another 30... So glad that we decided to go with Old Town Trolley Tours! We saw a lot of Washington in the 7 hours that we were there and the information provided by the Conductor Gil was great. Our visit to Washington would not have been such a succes without this tour/guide.
