Like most others, we thought this was a terrific way to see Washington D.C. Our tour guide, Jaes (sp?) was the perfect host. As I am a Safety Director by career, I was pleased to see well maintained Trek bikes, helmets required and concern for all those on the tour. We brought our own helmets, which I would recommend. If the weather is good, don't doubt it: rent a bike, it's a bit expensive but worth it. Most of the city is flat, there's bike lines all over, cars, buses, etc do respect bikes. You can ride to most of the monuments, including the Pentagon memorial or Arlington cemetery on the other side of the Potomac. Follow the track...... More

It's too bad that the weekend we went there was a lot of construction that messed with the pedestrian traffic flow - it's difficult to ride bikes in large crowds of people.
