I was in Baltimore for a conference and took Sunday off to train into DC for some fun by myself. I wanted to see a couple of galleries and the FDR and WWII memorials. Since everything is a long walk, I was wondering how to do it all without lots of cab fares or blisters. When I saw the BIke... more

There's plenty within these reviews to tell you that this activity is fun, informative, etc. I echo all of those sentiments. I'll add just a couple of points of emphasis. First, if you're touring DC with kids (particularly for first-timers, although even returnees would have fun), this is a GREAT way to introduce them to DC's "Greatest Hits" in just... more

Took a bike for two hours today. Great fun and managed to zoom around the Mall which is quite a long walk to see everything but fairly flat so great for bikes. Couldn't wait around for on of their organized tour (2 per day) . Just as well as the rain set in when I returned. They have 100+ bikes... more

My boyfriend and I recently spent 5 days in the Washington DC area. We are not by any stretch of the imagination young or athletic. I would describe us as a couple of aging lethargic p.c. gamers. So, you can imagine we were a little hesitant at the idea of renting athletic equipment. Nevertheless, we had been to DC one... more

I have been to DC many times, but had not brought my children until this year. Their ages - 17, 14 and 10 - and varying physical abilities/stamina made the thought of walking to the monuments a bit overwhelming. Everyone LOVED renting bikes and spending the afternoon seeing the city in this way. We did not take an organized tour... more

I signed up for this the night before I went, debating whether or not it would be worth the $40. Let me tell you, it's worth much more than that. We had a very small tour group (3 people + the guide), so he decided to take us to some places they couldn't normally go with large groups. It was... more

Our guide, Alex, was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the ins and outs of the memorials. There is so much walking during your stay this is a excellent way to get off your feet and see the sights with a guide. more

We had our nephew in town for his solo trip to DC before heading to college. He loved being mobile on the Mall with the bikes. Great to do on your own or on a tour. more

There is soo much to do in DC and so many different tours. It was difficult to decide how exactly to see the sites and get the most out of it. Based on website reviews, my family and I (2 children and a husband) decided to see the monuments at night on bikes. I called to book for the night... more
