Today they are a great way to see Washington by both land and sea. Winding our way first through the monuments, the Mall, the Capitol and museums of the Smithsonian before splashing into the Potomac and under the flight path at Reagan National Airport. Its fun for all ages! « less

We had heard wonderful things about the duck tours in Boston, so we tried this tour. We only had one day in D.C. so this was the best way to see as much as we could. Great views of the monuments and we were able to get amazingly close to Reagan airport! My 2-year old sat through the entire 90... More

You can book at Union Station and take a tour on this amphibious vehicle. It is great fun, especially when it enters the water. You see lots of sights and I would recommend it. More

I lived in the DC area for over twenty years and have seen all the sites, but I was impressed with the D.C. Duck tour. I live in Boston now and the Boston Duck Boats are not my favorite activity but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed D.C. Ducks. My cousins (ages 8, 9, 11 and 41), father... More

I bought my ticket online months earlier. When I got to Union Station, I had to wait over two and a half hours for the next available tour. I spent the time writing/mailing postcards & people-watching, so it wasn't a frustrating time. I'm glad I waited...Capt. Steve was a perfect guide, imparting knowledge and comedy in equal amounts. The Quackers... More

The DC duck tour received 4 quacks from us. It was great and the teens had a great time. We rode during spring break and DC was very busy and the weather was mid 70's so the tour was appropriate. Good narrative by driver. I would strongly suggest you make this one of the first activities because it will help... More

We thought this would be an entertaining way to show the kids (8 and 10 ) the city and were not disappointed. We bought tickets at Union station at a desk in the front entrance hall. It was a beautiful day and we had to wait an hour and a half as they were so booked up so we popped... More

I strongly recommend the DC Ducks tour to anyone visiting DC for the first time - and I suggest that this be your first activity. Not only fun for all ages (particularly young children) but the knowledgeable tour guide truly helps you plan the activities and sites that are best for you. Well worth the price tag! More

I rode the duck, which gives a land & water tour of DC, w/my granddaughters ages 10 & 13. The driver provided a fun narrative of the sights and then let all the children on board take turns driving out on the water. This was a fun alternative to the more staid bus tours. We had ridden the duck in... More

The Friday before our wedding, my now husband and I wanted a fun outing so our guests could see as much of the city as possible. The challenge was that we had a variety of ages (toddlers to seniors, and all ages in between), abilities and interests. We were also looking for something that would entertain first time DC visitors... More

This tour was pure joy! Captain Jim pointed out all of the Memorials, important buildings and places of interest. He was entertaining as well as informative! Our grandson particularly enjoyed driving into the river--a truly unique experience. The crowning touch was being given a quacker whistle at the end of the tour. I would highly recommend this tour for all... More
