A walk of the monuments, or the Mall, at night is breathtaking and very romantic! You will have the enitre area lite up and no crowds to deal with. Since the monuments are open 24/7, there is no need to fret over the time. Grab a cup of coffee and stroll back in time! more

The Lincoln Memorial is something you just cannot miss on your D.C. Trip. The monument is inspiring. Don't forget to check out the Martin Luther King engraving on the steps! more

Went to nearby Woodbridge, VA for a wedding so took advantage of it to go to the DC Mall. Definitely go when you have a chance and see the Mall area. The Lincoln Memorial gives a good view overlooking the Reflecting Pool, the WW2 Memorial, and of course the Washingtom Monument. You have to visit the Mall during the day,... more

What an iconic place, you should try to be there for the sunset, what great views from here. Hard to get a good picture with the dozens of buses constantly dropping off tourists, but still worth seeing. Another highlight is the inscription on the steps where Dr. Martin Luther King made his speech. more

We visited the memorial at night - it was incredible. Not only is the memorial itself increcible - but it is such a historic spot, and the view looking back over the reflecting pool toward the Washington Monument was beautiful. Really wonderful and a must see! more

The Lincoln Memorial was certainly the most memorable, and enjoyable, experience that I had in Washington DC. The memorial was very thought provoking and really gave me a feel of the history of America, which can sometimes be overlooked, especially by citizens of countries with a very rich history. I felt as I was there the sense of pride in... more

Absolutely a must-see if you are in DC. This is such an integral part of our history! So majestic. He is not to be worshipped, certainly, because I have heard some people complain that he appears God-like, but I did not see the monument that way at all. He is to be revered. Imagine trying to pull a country back... more

Have visited Washington 3 times and never made it up to The Lincoln Memorial so we were determined not to miss it this time! Well it was just amazing! Despite the crowds it was a magnificant structure to see and we are so glad we did. It made us feel very humble in someways and what a fantastic monument to... more

The Lincoln Memorial is a must see. The building and the majesty of the statue are immeasurable. The only bad thing about this place was that for whatever reason, there wasn't the feeling of reverance and respect that I got at all of the other memorials. I think this is because this was by far the most crowded. I'm going... more

The attraction is one of many on the Mall and was one of the highlights of our trip. We were not expecting the murals on the walls and all the quotes from Lincoln on the walls (inaugural speech and more). As with most of D.C., beautiful and amazed at the amount of marble and time that must have went into... more
