We arrived in Eastsound later in the afternoon on a day that had started cloudy. Our hostess suggested if we want to see the tower on Mt. Constitution that we might consider going that afternoon because the weather was quit "moody" and we might not get the full benefit of the view if clouds dropped the next day. We were... More

Loved the view, well worth the trip just for that. The weather on any given day can be unpredictable, but I found it to be interesting to look at regardless of whether it was clear, cloudy, foggy, or anything in between. The lookout tower at the top also has a few historical placards inside that tell more about Robert Moran.... More

We climbed up to the Mt. Constitution landmark. We were blessed with a beautiful, sunny day and as we approached the summit we were shocked and thrilled to see Mt. Baker peeking through the clouds below. It is a sight of a lifetime and one we will never forget. We did climb the tower built by the CCC and learned... More

This landmark is worth the drive up. Located in Moran State Park this landmark features beautiful views a cool (and kind of creepy) tower to climb to see more views. On top of the tower is a room where people leave their initials.

We took a late morning hike to Mount Constitution (you can also drive to the top). We opted for the 6.7 mile loop that begins with a trek up the Little Summit trail and came down the Twin Lakes trail. Highly recommend going this direction. The Twin Lakes trail has several steep switchbacks and we found it more pleasant to... More

The view from the top of Mount Constitution might be the best in the USA. Easy walk from the parking lot or a strenuous hike from below. Also we took a great hike for the Mount to Mountain Lake which was an pleasant 4.5 mile hike all down hill.

I visited this scenic location 30 years ago, there were views 360 degrees around, it was soo very impressive back then. Now the brilliant parks folks will not cut any trees, leaving limited views. Hardly worth the drive up there. Yes you still can see Mt. Baker, but nothing to the south or west. Cut some trees on top!

We loved the views and it is a great for photos. We saw deer as well. There were hardly any people around which made it nice. We made several trips to the top during different weather and it is always beautiful!

As another reviewer said, you do need a clear day, but if you have one the views are spectacular. We first drove up Mount Constitution in early evening, on a cloudy day. We should have known better - we ended up driving up into a cloud and couldn't see a thing. Plus, the extremely windy roads plus dark and fog... More
