Nice short drive ...

Its a nice short drive. If you want to spend sometime with nature not far away from seattle, this is a nice place. Try food at chuckanut manor on way.

On the way to Bellingham/Fairhaven this is a wonderfully scenic alternative to the 5. I drove it in a light rain & that's the way I'll always picture it & it just felt right with all the moss covered trees. Stop one time or stop 10 times, but stop & get out of the car.

South of Fairhaven is road #11, Chuckanut Drive. It is a beautiful scenic drive that is well worth the detour from the fast pace I-5. We stopped frequently on it along the way to look at the view. Take exit 251 and come back at exit 231, if you are heading south.

If you are in a hurry take the freeway , if you want a leisurely drive try this as a relaxing detour . I would recommend heading south as it is much easier to pull over for the few lookouts and restaurants . We happened to pop down around noon on a fabulous day . Unfortunately the sun was so... More

This is one of the most memorable things I have ever done. The drive along Chuckanut gives you beautiful views of the ocean, natural landscape, cascading trees and so much more. We went a day early on a cruise, rented a car and drove up, had lunch in Bellingham and then drove right back down to see it from a... More

This scenic route was recommended to us by a relative who lives in Washington. You see mountains, wooded area, lakes and beaches. Spanish Bay with its oyster beds for great to see.

We took the drive to get away from the freeway and how refreshing it was. Views of Samish Bay, hikes around Larabee State park, oysters at Oyster Creek Inn. Nice way to find Fairhaven and Bellingham.

Just north of Seattle, Route 11 is known as Chuckanut Drive. This scenic highway is short but breathtakingly beautiful. Mountains, Lakes and beautiful Firs. Must stop and take in the beauty of this treasure.

On a hot summer day in a Miata, this is a pleasant drive. It is nice to get off of the I-5, enjoy a few twisties and drive in the cool shade of the trees. We went north to south. We started at Fairhaven (worth a stop). The drive is not long. It is a bit narrow and if you... More
