Based on the sketchy info this hike appeared to be a walk in the park but in reality not quite. First the steep hill road climb to the Outlook Point was challenging enough in itself. In the past I have trekked to Base Camp Everest, made it to the top of Kilimanjaro on the Machame Route as well as trekked... More

Went with friends that are owners so we weren't hit up for time share sales presentations. We had a very relaxing week there. We stayed in the Summit Hillside condo. It was freshly painted and carpeted had 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths including a hot tub and double head shower. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals... More

We traveled to Massanuten Virginia for a week with our teenage children. We stayed in 1 bedroom condo unit on promotional offer from RCI. I will say when you travel here, be prepared to pay for everything. Also, you will definitely need a car to get around the resort. Accomodations: I found that the accomodations looked a little dated, but... More

Our drive to Massanutten Resort is about 4 hours. The mountains are beautiful and the resort has lots of activities for all age groups. While I have visited twice with my family, I would definitely like to return for a couples only vacation some day. We stayed at Woodstone during both of our visits. The apartment-style lodging is appealing and... More

We went to Massanutten for 3 days - skiing and water park with the kids (ages 9 and 13). The skiing/snowboarding was fine. But I am sorry - the "ski lodge" is tired, gross, dirty, outdated and disgusting. I have written lots of reviews on TRIPADVISOR and while I do expect great service no matter where I go - I... More

At just under 2.5 hours from Washington, DC, this is a wonderful and close getaway. We have stayed in the resort and most recently rented a house on the resort grounds. We really enjoyed our time here.

We had a wonderful week in the Shanandoah Valley, staying at the Massanutten Resort. The surroundings were just beautiful: deer and ground hog greeting us every morning! Lovely mountains and lots of activities kept our family of 3 teenage girls happy. Tubing, horseback riding, visits to the caves and local wineries kept us busy! We took a ride to Charlotteville... During a recent stay at Massanutten my husband and I had a very unpleasant experience. We were offered two nights lodging at the resort with a requirement that we participate in a 90 minute sales event. After 3 hours, and being verbally abused by the staff, my husband and I promptly left the event and the facility. We did not... More
