With AT / LT running through, lots of fun for hikers. Being a long weekend the campgrounds were busy but we were just sight seeing anyways. Grout pond is big enough for swimming / paddling. Fun!

If you find that you have a beautiful summer day but a bit windy for kayaking, try Grout Pond. Grout Pond is small but not too small. It appears to be protected from the winds where the bigger lakes would not be safe for small kayaks on windy days. The water was clean and great for a swim.

If you were here, you will see all the green over the mountain, it is fantastic. Beautiful place is worth to visit there with your family or your friends.

This was our first visit to the Green Mountains with my family. We camped at the Emerald Lake State Park and had a wonderful time. The campground is clean, well organized, quiet and family friendly. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Around the area, there is an amazing swimming hole in an old quarry, definitely worth visiting. Also there... More

Our first visit to the Green mountains was everything we expected and more! After touring New Hampshire and the White Mountains we decided to check out Vermont and the Green mountains, well worth it. The mountain ranges are breath taking! Our visit was brief so hiking wasn't park of the plan, a return visit is in the works. I highly... More
