They get these great shows, but they could work a little harder on climate control, and the seats are only modestly comfortable.

Classic movie viewing at it's best. A fantastic place to grab a bag of popcorn, glass of wine and take in an independent film, foreign film or any movie that sparks your interest. I can't get over the size the theaters, I had an expectation that they would be small and intimate but boy was a wrong. What a great... More

The Belcourt Theater is Nashville's nonprofit arthouse movie theater. Go there to see an foreign films, movies that haven't yet (and may never) see wide release, or old favorites. There are some restaurants and bars in the surrounding neighborhood, so it's easy to go down there and make a night of it.

This is not your typical theater. The concessions consist of the normal AND lovely things like adult beverages & pita chips with hummus.

I had some time to kill before checking into the room I rented, and I was in the neighborhood shopping, so I decided to stop in and see a movie at the Belcourt. If I lived in Nashville I'd probably have a membership. The staff were friendly and there's plenty of parking for patrons. I saw a show in the... More

You really MUST go to the Belcourt! It's a great theatre. Great staff. Awesome snacks & some "adult" beverages too! I've been a member for over a year & will continue to be one forever. I've seen dozens of films there and a few other shows. I recently went to see "Boyhood" there and it was awesome. The Belcourt has... More

I went to the Belcourt recently to see The Lonely Island being interviewed by Vince Vaughn as part of the Wild West Comedy Festival in Nashville. The guys were interviewed and many of their digital shorts were shown as a part of the show. Related specifically to the Belcourt, I have been there before and it is a very cool... More

This theater is essential to Nashville's ascendence as an "A" entertainment industry market. The independent films are unique and the theater is a great experience. The Academy Award event is a fun way to enjoy the awards and support the Belcourt!

This is the best cinema in Nashville, and has been for years. When I visit I try to always come by the Belcourt.

I have been going to Belcourt for years and thoroughly enjoy it as a movie theater, playhouse and live music venue. The events/shows are always affordable and offer a eclectic variety of both independent and mainstream entertainment choices. The Olde World Theatre Company plays are my particular favorite. They serve beer but are a very family friendly environment. Located close... More
