We accessed the lake through Devil's Fork State Park. The fee was $2 per person. We went on labor day, there was plenty of parking at the ramp. I was pleasantly surprised that there were very few motorized boats on the lake. The water was extremely clean. There are water falls that fall into the lake and they are beautiful.... More

Was there for 2 days one of the clearest lakes I have been on. Also one of the prettiest too. Great scuba adventure can't wait to try that

We camped for 3 days and were very impressed with the paved camp sites, clean spacious bathrooms, and well-maintained facilities of Lake Jocassee. The park is very boater-friendly with good ramps and lots of places to boat to on a small whaler. The lake is stunning. Decent hiking and a nice swimming area.

This is truly one of the special places in South Carolina . There is more rainfall in the upper part of the lake than in any other place in the State.

This place is pretty amazing. The camping was nice at Devils Fork State Park. The lake was really pretty and very clear. The canoeing was nice. If you decide to rent canoes or kayaks I would suggest going online or calling ahead of time. Eclectic Sun was pretty busy.

Went to the state park for swim. Water was cold but not as cold as the rivers. Calm and relaxed in the shadow of the mountains as a backdrop. Very beautiful.

A cool water pristine lake situated in extreme northern South Carolina(fingers of the lake actually poke into North Carolina). What is most striking about the lake, other than the scenic beauty, is that it is almost totally devoid of buildings, owned by Duke Energy and not available for development. Access to the lake is through Devils Fork State Park, entrance... More

We hired a man with a boat to take us out on the lake to view waterfalls flowing into the lake. He did not disappoint. Stunning views and well worth seeing if you have the time. We spent around 2 - 3 hours there. The emerald waters on a sunny day is so relaxing.
