I'm going to echo what has already been said on here. AWESOME! We've been to some nice parks and RV campgrounds around the Carolinas, but this one takes the cake! The mossy trees, trails, lake, playground, water park, splash zone and more. It's pristine and I've pretty much told my husband I want this to be a Mother's Day tradition... More

I lived about ten minutes from here for 3 years and frequented the park all the time. A good place for families with kids or nature lovers. Easy paved trails that wind through the marsh. The best part about this place is the dog park. It's enormous! A lovely little beach that sits along the waterway with plenty of room... More

My husband and I went to the park to visit the dog park, we heard it was the best. Unfortunately is was closed that day for a special function. We were able to hike the green and blue trails with our two dogs. The park grounds are lovely, trails are very friendly, plenty of things to do.

The park borders on wetlands and serves many different interests. It is a mixture of landscapes. some areas are left natural and some are mowed. There are paved trails, fishing docks, playgrounds, a leash -free area for the dogs, cottages available for rent, a campground with facilities and a primitive one. They even have even a conference facility. We went... More

We stayed in the campground in a motorhome for five nights. The camp is clean and well-tended with shady sites. The dog park is wonderful with spacious fenced areas for both large and small dogs. The large dog area even has a beach where dogs can go into the lake. Very cool. Miles of paved bike and walking trails wind... More

Other county governments should take a page from Charleston and set up more parks like this! Charleston charges and extra 1% tax and they use those funds to set up parks and recreation areas like this all over the county. They are continually improving and adding more. I think this is an excellent use of tax dollars and I wish... More

JICP is a large county park with great attractions. The dog park is large and on the water. The paths are paved and great for senior citizens, and they're beautiful to walk through, even in winter! The climbing wall is amazing and there are even tightropes for the kids! The disc-golf course is challenging, and the Festival of Lights around... More

Ok, so I'm a freak when it comes to Christmas decorations, lights, singing, and anything and everything having to do with the spirit of Christmas. We went to the James Island Festival of Lights after having done some research online. This place is HUGE! The drive through the maze of lights has several stopping points where you can park your... The staff opened at 9:00, and I suggets thta early a start. By 11:30 all late sleepers arrived and it got a little hectic and folks had to wait. The lower, portable climbing wall proved a gret indoc and warm up, before going over to the giant wooden tower. Four children, ages 3,5,7,9 and adults 63, 38,29,28,26 each tackled the... More

We went to see the holiday lights and fireworks on NYE 2014. It was nice and the lights were all set up nicely. The fireworks show was good too, but the price of admission seemed a bit high for what they had to offer.
