This is great for couples or families. There is a 20 minute safety class before you get in the water. They make every effort to make sure you are safe while having a good time on the water. We also saw dolphins... literally surfaced 5 feet from my kayak. Go Army

SKC offers great instruction, skills courses and tours. Their skills programs have allowed me to progress and besides the great ACA Instructor Coaches on the Staff they bring in the best from around the globe. 17+ years of kayaking and they rank in the top 2. So if you are just getting started or have been paddling for sometime the... More

My partner and I had heard that we could go kayaking on the river estuarys down in Charleston area, and hada chance to some dolphins up close and personal. I got the job of checking out various sites to see what was available. I have not done much kayaking, so needed a set up that accommodated my expertise. The guys... More

Excellent customer service. Very friendly. Made the kids feel welcome. Also provided lots of good info on paddling groups and opportunities in the area.

I have been itching to take my daughters kayaking and a recent trip to Charleston provided the perfect occasion. I didn't think my parents would be interested in joining us (my mom just a hair over age 60 and my dad is 65) so I mentioned to them that they could enjoy a leisurely lunch in Charleston and some shopping... My two teenage sons and I spent a morning out on the water with Sea Kayak Carolina in the week between Christmas and New Year. I was very impressed by their set up, equipment and attitude. For my youngest son it was his first kayak trip in his own kayak (tandem previously) and our guide was very encouraging and supportive... More

Based on two experiences with Sea Kayak Carolina their operation seems quite competent. Their gear is first rate, possess a complete outfitting store, and staff is part of the community there. On a vacation to Folly Beach a friend and I joined their 3 hour afternoon tidal marsh tour with two other couples. My friend and two others had never... More

My wife and I decided to try a kayaking trip while on vacation. Both novices, we didn't know what to expect when we signed up for a 2-3 hr, morning paddle. It was wonderful! We went on a Monday morning so it wouldn't be crowded and our guide Chris taught us all we needed to know. We saw so much... More

My husband and I have participated in tours around the area, as well as kayak instruction. The folks at Sea Kayak Carolina not only provide outstanding instruction, but rent kayaks and provide tours that showcase the area to the fullest. It is not unusual to kayak past pods of dolphins, blue herons, and other amazing wildlife in the area. Depending... More
