My wife, 1 year old boy and myself visited this beach this past weekend and we were all amazed by how nice it was! My wife is from the Virginia Beach area so she was quite impressed with the waves on Lake Erie. We spent the evening walking along the beach and finding neat little shells. If you are ever... More

This is one of my favorites of all the Ohio state parks. The campground facilities are very nice, camp sites are spacious, and there are many activities within the park. We enjoy biking through the park to the beach are. The location near Lake Erie generally means nice breezes even on hot days. Plenty to do in the area. From... More

This was our first trip to Marblehead and Lake Erie. We didn't make any plans except to make a reservation at the campground. Super nice campground, but was crowded with families. The spot we ended up at was at a high traffic location, so next time I'll make sure to choose more wisely. And there will be a next time!... More

The water doesn't go past your knees in most areas. Great for swimming with young children. My older kids liked it as well. Have a 14 yr old, 10 yr old and 2 yr old and they all enjoyed it. They have places to change into or out of your wet clothes.

I couldn't believe there was no fee for this venue. Good facilities were clean enough - plenty of parking - it was busy, but the layout of the park made it not seem crowded. We only experienced the beach area, but it was nice for the young kids first trip to a 'beach'. Will return for camping for sure.

We camped here August 5-8, 2014 in one of the few full hookup sites. This huge campground was clean and it was set up well. There are lots of people, especially kids riding bikes and we noticed the Pepsi delivery truck driving too fast so we called Pepsi to let them know. We didn't use the beach because of the... More

I stayed here about 6 years ago for a fishing trip. This time, I brought my wife and daughter. We stayed in the "C" loop, sites were a little tight, but the neighbors were very polite. Lots of things for kids to do with volleyball, bike rentals, fishing, movies, and even a game room. Very convenient location between Marblehead, Catawba... More

Easy drive from Cleveland or Toledo. Park is clean with changing area. Shallow swimming area. Reasonably clean.

If you want a great/cheap campground east harbor is the place to go. I've been going there every year for 18 years. I now have 4 kids of my own (9mos./21mos./4 & 10). Camp sites are clean have a fire pit and picnic table in each site. There's lots to do within walking distance , including fishing ..hiking .. Playgrounds... More

I don't camp. This was a whim. But I do visit the Marblehead area a few times each summer and I always do something different. This was certainly different! I will say the community bathrooms were ok. I am just not into sharing my shower space and my sink with people. And I noticed a woman use the bathroom and... More
