My family of five hiked mount jo (which i would recommend) two years ago. We were looking for the "next step" and we found it! The reviews said it would take 4-5 hours for family. We usually half that when figuring time, but it took us close to four hours. Didn't think it was super steep, but i definitely had... More

A 4 hours hike for a wonderfull view. The parking is realy small on the side of the road so arrive early. The trail is on the other side. It begins realy slow but you will soon see that you have to earn your way up. On the top you will see Marcy, Algonquin WOW. Dont forget your crampons!!!!! You... More

My husband and I do quite a bit of hiking and in many different places. Some parts of this hike were more strenuous than most we have done. There are some spots that you are basically rock climbing at the end and before that the steep incline on the stone "steps" is quite strenuous. We do move very fast though... More

Even though this mountain is only 3353 ft. tall, it's a moderately strenuous hike with 1700 elevation gain. While it can be tricky in places, if you like to scramble...you'll like this hike. The views at the top were fantastic, especially at foliage peak, which we were very lucky to see.

it is a great hike to start, gets a little tricky in the middle of the climb, you have to deal with some rocks, but others made trails around them if you don't want to climb them, but the hike is worth the while in the end when you see the view.

This was a very exciting and challenging hike fro my wife and myself. We were not experienced climbers when we started this climb. It was about a 2 hour hike, fairly challenging, although quite fun and very interesting areas. Having a hiking stick was very helpful. After making it to the top, it had to be one of the most... A good hike - some work to get there, but SOOO worth it. Our group of 8, varying levels of ability, all made it to the top to enjoy the fabulous views. Only spot in the Adirondacks advertised with 360 degree views. Just great. Bring water, use hiking sticks is you have them.
