Our 6 person 2014 Wine tasting tour of the 3 Finger Lakes region actually started in Canada with 3 wineries Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada in an afternoon after seeing Niagara Falls in the morning. We spent 2-1/2 days cruising the 3 Finger Lakes Region in our rented white Ford E350 passenger van sampling wines from across the region. We found a... More

My husband and I traveled to the finger lakes region of New York on our way from Rockland County NY to Syracuse, NY, where our son lives. We stopped at Taughannock Falls State Park which is in Ithaca, a very pretty college community. Although we went in summer when college is out (Cornell University and Ithaca College are both in... It's a beautiful region in upstate NY. Very peaceful and quiet with a lot of things to do. For example go to the Watkins Glen State Park or stop at one of the many vineyards.

My hubby & I went to the Finger Lakes for Memorial Day w/e. It was beautiful, we enjoyed ourselves immensely wine tasting and relaxing on the decks enjoying a beer. The food was also very good in Watkins Glen. Good values!

Just to get here you travel through beautiful towns and countryside. Suddenly the horizon drops away and you are looking at clear, blue water nestled in a glacial valley. Ahead are any number of wineries, restaurants and visual delights. This is the Finger Lakes of upstate New York. It is a unique area for wine making in that many "micro-climates"... More

A must do with a bunch of friends or a special someone. I have done this Wine event with my husband and then with some girl friends. You get a lovely grape vine wreath and then at every winery you visit you get an ornament, a food and wine pairing and a cook book. You can taste other wines the... More

We took a cruise at the Seneca lake for 50 minutes besides the scenic route it was fascinating to learn how they produce salt from the bed of the fresh water river. The Seneca River in central New York flows 61.6 miles (99.1 km)[1] from west to east, from Seneca Lake, through the Montezuma Marsh at the north end of... More

We went to several and enjoy the trip very much. I found the wines kind of expensive; I thought since it was the winery, they will be less expensive. Anyway, it was fun, stopping at them. Some of them were very nice and the people were friendly.

My hubby and I went to the Annual Wine Festival in the Finger Lakes on the weekend of July 12th. We went on Sunday, which I hear is the quieter of the two days. We heard that Saturdays are Crazy, with a lot of drunken people. Well, our experience on Sunday was good. We tasted wines from wineries we had... More
