Because of the fires in Washinton, Idaho and California, Glacier was very smoky-very difficult to see! Lake McDonald Boat tour---could not see 3/4 mile around us. POst pone your visit!! Flights were even cancelled into Glacier airport!! Asthmatic--stay home!

What a great place to visit, we've seen a lot of National parks allready, and this is one of the nicest ones we've payed a visit to. Awesome views to watch and take photo's, a nice road to travel through the park, but the downsite of being so popular is that alot of parking spots are full and the price... More

We drove to Glacier from our home in North Carolina. I have been many times; my husband had never been. We tent camped at Avalanche Campground. The Reynolds Fire was active so Going to the Sun Rd was closed between Logan Pass and St. Mary Campground. We had no problem filling three days with activities on the west side and... More

We spent 2 days in the Glacier National Park this July. What a beautiful place. Everywhere you look is a post card. We were able to drive Into The Sun road all the way through the park. Unfortunately the fires started the day after we left and we cannot imagine how the park looks now. We were able to see... More

1. We flew from San Jose to Seattle and caught a connecting flight to Kalispell, MT, rented a car, and was in Glacier National Park August 10-19. 2. Hotels and Lodges open in the park late June to late September, due to long severe snowy winters, just south of the Canadian border in the Rocky Mountains. 3. We bypass the... More

We have just returned from West Glacier in Glacier National Park in Montana. We camped in the Park at Fish Creek Campground. This place is our favourite place to camp. It's clean, quiet, private, and family friendly. This is the fourth year in a row we have stayed there and look forward to returning again next year. We also really... More

Wonderful, beautiful, amazing, but at $25.00 admission for a car, it's expensive. They are trying to limit cars on GTS Road, so you can take a free shuttle instead. If you're going to pay that kind of money, you're going to want to spend the day or two, which you should anyway.

Glacier National Park is simply awesome. It is a very beautiful place, glaciers, lakes, trails, winding roads...what more can you ask for? This was my first trip to Glacier. I really enjoyed it. Only spent 2 days in the park. I could probably spend 5 - 7 days in the park without getting bored. They are many hiking trails and... More

Remote, Rugged, Spectacular! Add it to your bucket list :) Bring your kayak and swimsuit. Note ~ any vehicle/vehicle assemblage over 21ft is not allowed in the park.
