This was my second visit to Glacier and my wife's first...she was just blown away by the Going to the Sun Road! I had not been since I was a youngster so it was a thrill to drive and stop along the way to take tons of photos. It is a slow drive but really would you want it any... More

Glaciers will be gone by 2030. Need to see them now. Fabulous views, great drive, layer clothes - cold weather at higher elevations. 7 days pass for entry fee. Would suggest doing more than once.

After moving, we were only a couple hours drive away from glacier national park. I heard great things and wanted to go but could never find the time. One day, we decided to just go. Boy, was that ever worth it. No amount of words can describe the beauty of this place. Spectacular views and serene lakes make this national... More

This has to be one of our country's most beautiful parks. The mountains are amazing especially in the morning with the cloud covering and later as the clouds break up. The lake and streams are so clear and the air filled with pine fragrance. I can't say enough about the beauty of this area. The Road to the Sun is... More

What a beautiful place. We started early and spent the whole day in the part. Take advantage of the pull offs and the opprotunity to stop at each lake and lodge. This is nature at its best. There is road construction on the east side, but it isn't all that bad. Logan Pass was the most crowded stop we experienced.... More

No words to describe...Gorgeous! Beautiful! Breathtaking! One of the most spectacular places that I have ever visited! If you are in the area do not pass this up! It might be a bit of a hike for some but it is a once in a lifetime trip! Maybe it should be a lot more then once in a lifetime!

Absolutely amazing park. The views from up by Grinnell Glacier are spectacular. My main piece of advice is to not drink the glacier water. It tastes great. Oldest water you may drink problem is it contains giardia. I was in sever intestinal distress for about 2 weeks after.

The campsite was a mowed patch in a tall grass field. The Going to Sun Road was spectacular. The lakes, vegetation and wildlife were punctuated with rivers and waterfalls. Saw mountain goats, marmots, big horn sheep, deer, and bear. It is a very slow must drive while there.

I now have a new definition for "awesome," and that is Glacier National Park. Better bring a bib, because you're going to spend the whole time with your mouth hanging open. Spectacular view after spectacular view awaits you as you wind up the mountain toward Logan Pass and the Continental Divide at 6600+ feet. It's just breathtaking. You will quickly... More
