Definitely worth seeing. "Road to the Sun" is beautiful. Best to go when school is in session and the traffic is lighter.

Visited the park for 4 days in Sept. There was snow the day before we arrived and the Road to the Sun was partially closed, but opened while we were there. Driving in the park takes longer than you would imagine but the scenery is amazing. You can enjoy a lot of the park just riding and stopping and doing... More

Recent trip to Glacier National Park Montana. It is an awesome experience to view and be a part of this wonderful creation. The mountains are majestic and very big. There was some snow on the peaks when we were there in September in fact the Road to the Sun was closed because of snowfall 10 inches. The day we arrived... More

My favorite place on Earth, Glacier National Park and the surrounding country really is the "Last Best Place" with something for everyone. Plan way, way, way ahead because lodges book up. Although I spent many family vacations in Glacier growing up in Montana, I'm still awe-struck every time I go. We took the Red Car tour in September and it... More

Alright alright I know you cannot compare GNP and Yellowstone, two very different parks but I loved this one better. Its just so very beautiful! The only other place that comes close is Alaska. if you are visiting this park, plan your trip meticulously. I had only 4 days and it wasnt nearly enough time. There are few resorts inside... More

This huge Park is simply spectacular. The scenery is magnificent, the Trails are very well laid out, very clearly signposted and there is abundant wildlife. I spent a week in Glacier and enjoyed every minute of it. I have been to many National Parks: Glacier ranks with the very finest of them.

With so much to see in Glacier National Park, some of it can only be seen from the air. The Glacier Heli tour is awesome. Being able to view Mt. Harrison Glacier up close was just beautiful. The pilot did a commentary as we flew over the park while soft music was also playing in the background in our headsets.... More

My husband and I flew to Missoula, MT from Boston via Denver (leave plenty of time for the change of planes). We spent the night in Missoula at the Comfort Inn that has a breakfast included. We drove about 3 hours to West Glacier the next day--an easy drive with beautiful scenery and no scary roads at the top of... More

What a terrific place to visit. The mountains and their beauty along with the rams that are barely seen on the slopes is breath-taking. At the top of the mountain is a visitor's center and it is one of those places that you need to take some time and visit. It too has some terrific views. I saw some bald... More

After so many people recommending Glacier National Park my husband and I decided to visit. This place is Beautiful!! The snow covered mountains are breathtaking and there are still several glaciers left at this time. But be sure to put this place on your short list as the number of them are going away. From hundreds to a possible 25... More
