One of the most amazing National Parks in the U.S. Every turn is absolutely the best scenery. Check the NPS website for info on the Going-to-the-sun road as it closes for construction and weather often throughout the year.

This was a wonderful place to visit. Always heard it was gorgeous and it surely was. Will probably be a one time trip for us older folks but glad we got to see it once anyway. Definitely recommend it especially to young families, will make a great family trip. Went with my son and his family, have a 6 year... More

The best way to see the park is to spend a day doing the Road to the Sun route where you obtain a overview of the park, able to take in may beautiful sites and see animals. The day we were there we saw mountain goats up close. After that spend time hiking at specific sites. But hurry, the national... More

I visited Glacier National Park in August when I went on Collette's Tour of the Canadian Rockies and Glacier National Park. The Jammer ride along the Going to the Sun Road provided spectacular views. The driver stopped several times to allow us passengers to take pictures. The top of the bus is open, so we were able to stand up... More

Loved Glacier- was able to see the park while the road was open. Great for hikes, wildlife and enjoying the great outdoors. Met many people, had a blast! Spouse's Golden Eagle Pass still lets us in the parks for free.

Seriously, Glacier National Park is spectacular. We only had two days of exploring and you need more like a week. There are so many hidden lakes and trails to hike that you could spend a year exploring. The only draw back we had was that we went in October and they had already closed the Going to the Sun Road... Backpacking Glacier is the single most greatest experience in my life. Nothing makes you feel more alive than carrying everything you need on your back, and not relying on a phone or car to do what you want to do.
