Glacier National Park is nothing short of magnificent. The drive alone is spectacular and the photo ops are endless. I went two days in a row and on the second day, I drove on the Going to the Sun Road before sunrise. It's definitely not for the fainthearted and should be left to seasoned drivers. Also, be prepared to have... More

Spent 5 nights, 6 days backpacking from Packers Roost to Bowman Lake. Hole-in-the-wall campground might be my favorite place in the entire park, simply amazing. You do have to work to get there though! For non-backpackers go to hidden lake, we saw a grizzly charge a goat.

Glacier National Park was absolutely one of the most stunning national parks that I have ever seen!. Be sure to go the speed limit. There are watchful eyes everywhere. In the middle of August there are a lot of tourists. Traffic through the park is slow and very crowded. I just happened to go when there was construction. I was... More

Off and on over the years my family and I have been to Glacier Park many times. I miss the short and long hikes. One of the best hikes we did was going to Hidden Lake. I highly recommend spending the whole day here. Definitely for those that appreciate the outdoors.

Glacier National Park is all about fauna, wildlife, outdoor adventures and grand vistas. This is one of the premier parks and one to see. Going to the Sun Highway cannot be adequately described by saying it's a drive on a mountainside road up through some of the most awesome views, because it is more than that. Forests, huge valleys, mountains,... More

The lodges get booked early so plan and book early online..its well worth the effort. Mcdonald and many glaciers lodge offers most spectacular views, we stayed at the Glacier park lodge..its definitely a unique structure and experience, highly recommended.... there are massive Douglas Fir pillars that support the impressive lobby area. Sixty giant timbers standing 40 feet high with a diameter... More

I loved the beauty of this park. As you wind your way through the basin up to the peak on the Going to the Sun Road, you climb up in altitude and into some pretty spectacular views. Notice the hanging glaciers, look closely to find the moose and check out the spectacular falls.

Glacier National Park should be on your list of places to visit. The Going to the Sun Highway offers fantastic views and photo opportunities. In the Summer and Fall Lake McDonald and the Flat Head River are a beautiful aqua blue. There are many pull offs along the lake and river, be sure to stop at each one. Some of... More

Fall 2014 stayed and camped in Glacier Park. Hike to Avalanche Lake a fairly easy walk thru the woods to a mountain lake. Going to Sun highway closed just past visitors center but the scenic drive quite worthwhile. Lots of mountain goats posing for the tourists. In the summer no doubt would be wall-to-wall with tourists all trying to snap... More

What a beautiful area. We took a guided tour and were so glad we did. We received great information and stopped at all the pertinent places that we would not have otherwise known about. Great trip.
