If you enjoy the US Rockies - hiking, fishing, scenery and wildlife viewing/photo you must see the Canadian Rockies! The US Rockies were beautiful but we were astonished in Banff and Jasper. Spending time in Tetons then Yellowstone then Bryce and Glacier before entering Canada, we had much to compare. All was breathtaking!

By far the most beautiful place on earth! The water was the clearest I have ever seen in my life. The mountains made me think of Alaska, the fields of the Alps. We were there in mid July and needed windbreakers and winter coats. Went on the Highline Hike from Logan's pass, a must do for all the hikers.

What a special place. Quiet, beautiful, peaceful, adventurous. YOu must drive to logans pass or take one of the red buses. We also participated in one of the ranger led hikes at Two Medicine lake, own ranger Pat was great.

Visited last week on the Harley's. Everything was fantastic. Then we decided to go over the top of road to the sun. All of sudden we find that the road has been completely torn up, from the top to the bottom. Nothing but gravel, dirt and mud. Why no mention or warning? There was no mention of this huge project... Awe-inspiring views! Crowded, but expected. Going to the Sun Road is NOT for large vehicles, but the shuttle buses are great.

Spectacular! EVERYWHERE we looked. If you want to stay in the park, plan ahead! We were being spontaneous and had to take what was left .. . (a kinda crappy cabin in Coram :( But that's the price of being spontaneous! Definitely plan ahead and take the park's shuttle from place to place so you don't end up driving around... More

Spent the day driving through GNP on the famous road to the sun; nice views with many pull outs to enjoy the scenery. Note that the eastern end of the road is being repaved and there is quite a bit of dirt, mud and dust

I was very disappointed with the lack of glaciers and snow. We did see a bear and mountain goats, both were very cool, but if you don't make it up there within a couple of years you will be visiting the park formally known as glacier national park

We visited in July staying in nearby Kalispell while on a road trip and spent a long day in the park. The "Road to the Sun" of course is stunning, winding its way up along sheer cliff faces opening up new awe-inspiring vistas at each turn. The vistas across Swiftcurrent Lake were just as stunning. Unfortunately we did not have... More

Our family (kids ages ranged from 7-13) loved Glacier. Beautiful views along Going to the Sun Road. Logan's Pass visitors center is along this road. Parking is CRAZY here. The earlier you can get there the better. Saw Big Horn sheep and mountain goats in this area. We did not do any back country hiking, but for families wanting to... More
