Please don't misunderstand me, the scenery is great but we saw ONE deer, that was it, and we had expected so much more. Perhaps we were there too early for the animals, I don't know but it was a bit of a let-down. We were in Yellowstone in February and saw animals galore which made this even more disappointing. The... We drove through in late March and it was absolutely stunning. The snow was melting so you had a mixture of landscape.

I have visited the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Yellowstone, Bryce, Zion and many other National Parks and all being amazing experiences, but this is my favorite. We drove in on hwy 2 from the east and were rewarded with spectacular views of the sharp ice covered peaks. It was just beautiful, the entire horizon filled with mountains with a spectacular blue... I would really recommend the shuttle service to the top of the Going-to-the-Sun Road at Logan's Pass. Parking up at the top can be hard to find, and why burden yourself with driving the twisting, winding road when experienced shuttle drivers will do it for you? Plus, you'll get to relax and enjoy the breath-taking scenery. There's express shuttles directly... More

This is by far one of the most beautiful parks in the United States. The scenery is beautiful. It is one of the only places you can view glaciers.. With global warming, these may become an experience of the past. The lodge at this park is also beautiful, and it is well worth the price to stay here. It is... More

My husband and I traveled to Glacier in July 2012, and spent 3 days hiking and sightseeing. Going to the Sun Road will take you throughout the park, and is an architectural wonder. There are many breathtaking views, heart stopping vistas, wonderful hikes on its turnouts. Make time for Polebridge Bakery. Fabulous food & solar driven. Avalanche Lake is a... More

Love this place! So much majesty surrounding oneself it's overwhelming!! Been to many National Parks, this one is special. Once you get to the top of the Road to the Sun, there are great paths that you can walk through wildflower patches and walk next to goats and sheep just wondering around the mountain side. Summer time you will even... More

We were at Glacier on the first day the Going to the Sun Road opened in June. It was the most awe inspiring thing that we did while at Glacier. Be sure to allow several days to be in the park. You will need it.

Don't make the same mistake that we did. Our first trip out west to see Yellowstone, Mt. Rushmore, etc., we did not feel it was worth the extra driving time to see Glacier Natl. Park. It took us 10 years to get back to this part of the country, and am I glad I got to see G.N.P. in all... More

Glacier National Park is just perfect. The views are amazing and different for the different areas of the park. We hiked up to Avalanche Lake the first day and it was like a screen saver. The waterfalls coming down the mountains into the clear blue lake was the perfect setting to just sit back and relax. We also hiked up... More
