Unlike Yellowstone, the animals at Glacier are not always crossing the road or grazing by the road. We needed binoculars to see 3 grizzlies on the other side of Old Man Lake, the big horn sheep near Logan's pass, and the mountain goats at the salt lick. We did have mountain goats on our trail to hidden lake and the... More

Beautiful park. Take your time driving on Sun Road. There are so many little water falls and animals hiding that you'll miss it if you go fast. Loved all the lakes and rivers and the accessibility to all of them. There are so many places to just pull off and literally get into the water and falls.

Gorgeous! Bustling with life and seemingly at peace with the human presence all around, Glacier was every bit the experience I'd hoped it would be. Going to the sun Road was beautiful and the pull-offs were well placed for photo opportunities. Wish I had had another week there to really do some hiking and exploring. Tragic to think that in... I have been to many national parks and this one ranks at the top with Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon even though it isn't as highly publicized. The mountains were majestic and the glacial lakes are beautiful. We saw several sets of mama bears and their cubs as well as mountain goats and marmots. You absolutely must drive the Going... More

I have been to all seven continents and this national park is one of the prettiest places I've seen. I did not get to explore all of Glacier National Park but I did take the "Going to the sun" Road up to Logan's Pass and did the hike to Hidden Lake. It is absolutely amazing. You walk through fields, though... More

This is a must see park for all hikers. What an amazing park with greats sites to see with every step you take on the trails. We were on the west side of the park and did not make it to the Many Glacier side. That will be a visit for another year. If you are going, be sure to... More

We've been to 20+ national parks over the last 3 months on a 6-month roadtrip from California to Alaska, and I have to say that Glacier is a standout. LOVED it! We camped on both the West (Apgar) and on the East (Two Medicine and Many Glacier) sides. The Going to the Sun road wasn't open yet (bummer!), but we... More

We feel very fortunate to be able to visit such a wonderful place. For me one of the biggest wonders of the world. Especially the scenic ' going to the sun' route is fantastic, although traffic is have and sometimes parking places are scares. Still it is all worth it. The views are breathtaking...water cascades, snowy mountain tops, wildlife....

This is an iconic park, the park with the most existing glaciers in any part of the country. One has to do a bit of study first in order to experience it fully. There are three primary areas - Two Medicine, Many Glacier and MacDonald Lake. The park is huge, so you have to decide where you want to base... More

Our visit to Glacier was amazing! The Going to the Sun Road is a great way to navigate the park too! We arrived at the St. Mary entrance and drove to the Lake MacDonald area. The park was busy as we visited on the weekend but we saw Jackson Glacier and key points of the park without much wait in... More
