Rolled in there with my daughter expecting the same place I remembered visiting as a kid. Pulled in the lot and I actually thought it was closed it was so run down. It doesn't look like it has been maintained since I was a kid. After a brief stop and a quick look around, we continued down the highway. More

My husband stayed here when he was a kid so we looked up the "resort" online. Pictures look very nice. We got there and I thought we had gone to the wrong place. Dirty, unkept, smelled like a skunk and a cat had been in the room. There were crickets in the room and the door didn't lock. The owner... More

We have a family membership to the Buffalo, and in the month since we started going, we have already seen some good improvements with the pool and locker rooms. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. We have been taking advantage of the hot tub after a long day ice fishin on Nelson. Nothing feels better than a few minutes... More

I spent a bit of time in my years off and on at "The Plunge" is what we used to call it. Since I was 6 and my Grandfather managed the place. The first place i learned to used a shovel as a sled and the memories of my family relaxing in the hot tub and pools. Coincidently I learned... More

four new fabulous rooms, they are hiding them. Stayed in a small 1940ish room that was dark, dank and smelled like someone had died there -- there was no micro wave, refrigerator or TV -- much less a place to eat. One of the scariest nights of my life -- brushed my teeth with bottled water.... I know that the... More

I came to Sleeping Buffalo Hot Springs to try something new from my usual hot springs spot (Chico Hot Springs). This place is awful. It's a dusty, run down old establishment. There are pipes visible on the walls that are rusted and leaking. The pools are dirty. The water has so much rusted minerals in there it stained my swimsuit.... More

The Sleeping Buffalo Hot Springs Resort is halfway between Malta, Montana and Saco, Montana in the northeastern part of the state. There are four new rooms which are incredible to stay in. Most of the other rooms are older, and are usually used by families, hunters and fishers. There is great fishing and hunting in the area, and of course,... More
