golf outing

We spent two wonderful days golfing at the Cove and Ridge golf courses. They are very well maintained. Recommend visiting during the week to miss all of the crowds.

I must admit, I went to the Lake of the Ozarks often as a kid (70's-80's) but moved away from Missouri and heard all kinds of horror stories when I returned...too crowded, too many crazy party people, too many huge boats, too expensive etc. My first few trips were surprisingly positive. Do those problems exist...probably on occasion. But I have... More

We get to Lake of the Ozarks every couple of years and the sheer size of the lake always seems to take my breath away. the lake is literally 90+ miles long with some amazing scenery. The lake has a large variety of great places to venture out to. Some you can have a minnow shot others have excellent food.... More

I have read mixed reviews about issues with the Lake, and as one of the largest recreational lakes in America you simply need to know what part of the Lake to experience. There is definitely an area of what we call "ocean water" that is so rough on the weekends (especially holidays) it is not enjoyable. But during the week... More

Unfortunately this is what happens when you have a private lake. Everyone has a dock and a seawall and a lot of Scarabs on the water. Waves are pretty big and I didn't feel very safe in the water except in a few places. The water was not very clear and I got a UTI after swimming in this lake... More

Awesome! Stay away from the big end of the lake and go to the upper smaller end of the lake. Boating, swimming and fishing is great! Soooo much more enjoyable!

I live on Grand Lake O' the Cherokee's, and it is also a beautiful lake, but there isn't much to do around the lake. While in Osage Beach, we watched the speed boat races, which my boys thought were pretty cool. We took the boys to ride go-carts, and we enjoyed several nice restaurants. We have previously visited Miner Mikes,... More

Friendly people, lots to see and do. Many great resorts and restaurants, even if you are not a boat owner. Great place for families to reconnect.

For those of us who live in Missouri, we're proud of this scenic treasure that attracts thousands of tourists, conferences, and events each year. When I attend conferences in the area, I enjoy the scenic beauty everywhere and sometimes I go with friends to the state park located in Osage Beach for just a fun outing to relax, take pictures,...
