There are two trails to the falls -- a short one from the Massachusetts side, and a longer one from the New York side. Initially we tried the shorter one. It turns out that it is *very* steep, and not very well marked; after about ten minutes of scrambling down the rocky path, we couldn't see any more markers, and... More

it's quite a hike. steep, and remember that's in both directions! that said, it;s pretty. the falls are powerful and impressive, but candidly exactly like everything i saw online and brochures at tourist spots. worth the stop? if you need to stretch your legs. but don't fret if you have to miss it More

We stopped here to see the falls and took swim even though the sign says not too. It was a perfect spot to chill (pun intended) after a strenuous hike on a hot, muggy day. The water is very cold but you get used to it. We hung out for an hour or so enjoying the natural beauty of the... More

We went to Bash-Bish Falls July 2011 and were pleasantly surprised. There are actually 2 falls that come together in a "V" shape, from about 80 feet above. The Falls are beautiful and the hike up was not very strenuous. There are 2 hikes you may choose from-we did the lower hike up from the parking lot.The hike is less... More

I've been coming here since I was a kid with my family, back in the 60's. When I got married I came up here with my wife and kids. Now that my kids are married we still come up here with them and my Grandchildren. We have done the hiking down the mountain to the falls and the hiking trail... More

There are two parts to my review: 1. The sight is gorgeous. There are many signs stating, "No Swimming," but the family and i did so anyways. (so did other visitors) The water fall is breath taking and thats basically all I can say about the actually sighting. 2. The trail there was bumpy. I tripped many times and there... More

A few days ago my friends and I were at Catamount mountain to do the ziplineing there and the staff informed us of a three hour rain delay so we ventured to Bash Bish Falls. When we arrived we took the Easy path thats about 3/4 mile long to the Falls. Though there were plenty of no swimming signs posted... More

Trip from parking lot to the falls is a long hike moderately steap with plenty of rocks along path. Elderly will find it helpful to bring a bottle of water and small snack. I was suprised to see a road along the falls stream on the other side where people can rent cabins. One starts in New York and finishes... More

Why would anyone want to descend a steep and rocky trail into a deep, dark forest where no one lives? What is worth all that trouble? One of the most refreshing sights in God's creation is waiting for you: BASH-BISH FALLS. The sunlight pierces through tall forest trees and illuminates the twin falls from a majestic apex, cascading to the... More
