I have never seen so many people on one beach! Crazy. Beautiful beach from what we could see but opted not to stop due to the magnitude of people shoulder to shoulder on the beach. We wanted to dip our toes in the water but were told by the taxi driver they dump sewage into the Lake. What a shame!... More

Lake Michigan is to the family just lots of fun! It is a beautiful lake in the winter, as it is in the summer. When you look out, if feels like it might go on forever. We have gone during the day, so I cannot speak for the evening or night hours. First, there is NO admission fee to hang... More

Just been to Chicago and went to Oak Street Beach and Navy Pier Beach. Great to do this in a big City and to enjoy some real vacation feeling on a sandy beach. The lake is so big that one has got the feeling to stand at a seashore, just the water was not salty. I also went into the... More

I've almost never had the same experience looking at the same thing from different perspectives. Lake Michigan is breathtaking no matter what angle you'r looking at it from! It's one of those great places you can go to any time of the day or in the evening. If you're single, it's a great place to meet people *wink wink* Just... More

This is one of the Finest place I have visited in US . The blue water of the huge lake is breath taking . You can view the spectacular Chicago downtown with Sears tower peaking through the sky . The best place to spend the evening with your friends & loved one .

Today the waters were an emerald shade of green, topped with foamy hats, which drew your eyes restlessly... Boats seemed to be embroidered on the green background ... can't leave this place

The real way to appreciate the Chicago Skyline is aboard this boat sailing Lake Michigan. I was lucky enough to have a wonderful, blue skies day so the amazing horizon of the buildings was just in front of us with all its magnificence. Nice lunch on board and a great opportunity to take awesome pictures. Then you can walk along... More

Hailing from Toronto where plans for waterfront development have failed to materialize, Chicago's use and design of its lakefront property provide to all city dwellers and visitors alike, a magical physical and mental oasis.

We had a view of the lake from our hotel room. It was every glorious shade of blue you could imagine. It looked like the Carribean! But it has a temper! I went for a run near the water's edge one cold, windy morning, and giant waves of water tried to soak me over and over again.
