Anastasia Island State Park and Campground is a very nice place to visit. Most camp sites are a short bike ride to the beach. Campground offers water and electric (with RV dump station near the exit). You can bike in to old town in about 20 minutes and enjoy all that St. Augustine has to offer. Highly recommended!

The beaches were lovely. We had so much fun there. The people in the area were just so nice and friendly. We will definitely return.

Absolutely love it here. The beaches are prestine and a lot of cool places to visit without the craziness of downtown.

We stayed on Anastasia Island when visiting St. Augustine. I really enjoyed being away from the hussle and bussle yet being only about 5 minutes away. There was a lot of really nice hotels and restaurants in the area which made staying on the island even better.

Spent the afternoon yesterday kayaking the salt key at Anastasia Island......low tide so little boat activity. Takes 2 hours to the lighthouse and back......beautiful views, birding, one baby loggerhead turtle; the sun was shining and the mullets were jumping! Gorgeous way to relax and enjoy the park from a different approach. No bugs but don't forget the sunscreen and a... More

When we made reservations, I really expected a crowded beach with tightly packet blankets and umbrellas, next to some redneck blaring his taste in music and chain smoking. I found the opposite: a wide, spacious beach with friendly people and enough room that you felt like you had the entire place to yourself. I would suggest getting one of the... More

I would agree with the other reviewers that the beach is beautiful. But it now 12:45 am and my camping neighbors, who are no more than 20 ft from me are wide awake and all have halogen lights. And don't speak English or have rvs. If u like a party or non English speakers whose kids are still screamining at... More

I almost don't want to write this review, because I'm a Floridian and really enjoyed this beach, and I don't want it to become too popular! Luckily it is a state park, and is well worth the small entrance fee. Anastasia island is nestled between Vilano and St Augustine beaches and offers a rare long coastline unspoiled by condos and... I found many things to do without crowds and high rises on the beach It is close to St. Augustine, the oldest town in America (1650.) I enjoyed walking up the steps to the top of the lighthouse, with it's great view!
