I currently live in Bradenton and Anna Maria Island is the "place to be". All the restaurants out there are amazing and prices are very affordable. They all have a great view of the Gulf at sunset. Just a beautiful place to visit. I grew up on the Island and a lot of these places have been there 20+ years.... More

My husband and I are both native Floridians and had never been to AMI until last December. Man, I wish I'd known about this place before! It's so beachy and island-y without being overwhelmingly touristy. (that's a lot of y's!) We stayed at the Bluegreen Resort 66. It's a small place very nicely furnished and supplied and has a great... More

Anna Maria Island is our favorite beach to visit - it's exciting but nothing over the top. It's laid back without being boring. It's got so much charm and doesn't feel too flimsy or touristy. We love it here.

If you have a day or two to spare when you head to Orlando for a Disney 'holiday', then nip down here. It's like a different world and you'll wish you had longer!!

this little area has beautiful white sand, pier for fishing, little boutiques...for us it was like a bit of St. Armands Circle & Lido Beach; but MUCH less traffic & the site seeing public. Very very beautiful. Eating at Anna Maria Oyster Bar finishes out the day great too.

This little island is wonderful. The water on all sides is warm, the sand is fine and white, and the sunsets are amazing! If you are looking for a place to relax, eat great food, and enjoy being with your friends and family this is the place!

Deep, white sand beaches, ample life guard houses. Down towards coquina beach you can walk out almost 100 yards before you loose sand. Today's visitor..... A manatee cruising in the water....

Stayed 1 week with my family in July. What a fantastic place! It was more like being in the Caribbean. Calm, beautiful and peaceful. Wonderful beach and water. Nice little restaurants. Would highly recommend!
