Anna Maria Island is so peaceful and friendly, yet there is plenty to keep you busy. We ate at some great restaurants, rented a boat, fished, paddle boarded in the gulf, biked, celebrated the sunset, relaxed at the beach and the pool. Tortuga Inn has the perfect accommodations. more

I stayed on Anna Maria Island June 2008. The island is one of the prettiest places i have ever visited, we were looking for a relaxing week having just spent a week in Orlando doing the attractions with the kids. We booked an apartment on the Gulf side of the island which was located on the beach. It was just... more

Having just returned from a week in Anna Maria - I can honestly say this was one of the best weeks I have ever had. My partner and I wanted somewhere to relax after a hectic week in Orlando, and although neither of us had been to Anna Maria, we liked the look of it from trawling various websites! We... more

Just spent a week in Anna Maria, Nice place, not touristy, good eating places. Beach was nice and warm. Accomodations can be a bit pricey. When we came into the island, there was some flooding on many of the main and side streets. I thought it was rain water, but it was actually sea water from a higher than normal... more

We recently spent 3 nights on Anna Maria Island. We rented a gorgeous Italian syle villa several minutes from the beach. It was about 4,000 square feet and we loved it. The water at Anna Maria is as beautiful as anywhere. It is much bluer and clear than Sanibel or Captiva. It was so gorgeous you could hardly take your... more

What a great place to visit and live! Went there once with my parents and they loved it so much that they had a vacation house built there! Now I get to visit whenever I want a great getaway. The beaches are so beautiful, the water warm. The restaurants are wonderful. more

What a beautiful place! Anna Maria Island is truly an island paradise. My daughter had stayed on the island and urged us to go. For us, it was the first time we had rented a private home instead of staying in a B&B or hotel. We stayed at a lovely home owned by a writer in the town of Holmes... more

George and I stayed on Anna Maria after travelling from Orlando. The views driving over onto the island were wonderful and it was lovely to see all the wooden houses painted in pastel colours. We stayed at Anna Maria Beach Cottages in a studio apartment which for us was ideal. Everything was clean and very 'new'.We also had a small... more

With the Red Tide gone and no hurricane damage, we took a vacation to Anna Maria Island and LOVED it. We rented a place through Island Vacation Properties [--]. In all our years of traveling, the accomodations, and variety of places to choose from not to mention the friendly staff were great! The island which has no fast food resturants... more
