Words can not express how beautiful this place is. A must see for every season!! Bring your camera. You won't be disappointed. An easy walk from parking lot, to just view the Maroon Bells... or if you are more adventurous...take a hike. More

I revisited Maroon Lake to experience again the scenic beauty and the excitement of climbing three of the most photographed mountains in the U.S. Pyramid Peak and the Maroon Bells huddle around Maroon Lake like old friends around a campfire. The purple rock, green trees and grass, and perfect blue skies I enjoyed this week fed my soul. All three... More

I've been seeing pictures of the Maroon Mountains for years so when we were passing through Aspen again, I wanted to see them. I had heard they were so crowded during certain times of the year you had to take a bus because of limited parking at the trailhead. Well, it is crowded but I guess in Sept. less so... More

The maroon bells are a must visit if you are in the Aspen / snowmass area. The easiest way to get there is by bus - tickets for the bus tour can be picked up in the four-mountain sports shop in the highlands shopping centre. The bus journey takes around 10-15 minutes and drops you off close to the lake... More

I have lived in Colorado for a couple years and my husband and I make it a point to explore this beautiful state. This weekend, along with another couple, we visited Maroon Bells. We paid $6 per person to take the bus tour up to the visitor center where there is some extra information about the area as well as... More

Any visit to the Aspen area must include a visit to the Maroon Bells. We snow mobiled in years ago in the Winter which was awesome. This summer we returned and it was so simple. Just take the bus from Rubey Park Transit Station (free) in downtown Aspen to Aspen Highlands where you transfer to the Maroon Bells Bus (fee).... More

You gotta get up early for sunrise at the Bells, the calm flat lake brings out the reflection of the peaks, so clearly. This place is magical, a photographer's paradise. Lots of beauty and tranquility. Great hikes from the lake, over the Bells too! Great place for flatlanders to explore Colorado's mountains. The parking lot is not far from the... More

Hiked as far as Crater Lake. Be sure to bring water and lots of bug spray. The scenery is spectacular. More

My original intention in visiting the Bells was to get there early enough that I wouldn't have to take the bus. As it was, we were a little late getting out of breakfast and so we ended up taking the bus after all. It cost us $6 per person round trip (they take your ticket on the way there and... More
