Coastline that goes on forever with amazing views for miles in all directions. Walk or drive the coastline and take in the views. Dogs and families are welcome. Stop at many of the shops and restaurants that are available to you.

The view can't be beat. Right on the beach. The restaurant is modern and the food is delicious. Parking is crazy, but they offer valet. The fish and chips are light and delicious. The bag of bones - Hawaiian style bbq ribs are so good you want to lick your fingers, not caring who is watching. Didn't care for the... More

Would strongly recommend taking 2 days to drive from LA to San Fran if you have the time. We were limited and did in in 1 day. The trip its self was beautiful and we stopped alot along the way to take pictures but its definitely 10-12hrs

Hi, I have done this trip a few times and there are some great places to stop - I love Malibu, Venice Beach, San Luis Obispo and Monterey, but I would also recommend stopping at Santa Barbara, Solvang and Hearst Castle.

This was the final leg of a grand road trip starting in Boston and finishing in San Francisco. Obviously we saw many awesome sights on the trip but this stretch of road was probably one of the best. I did this part of the trip in 2 legs, starting in San Diego, hugging the coast line and joining Route 1... More

I've been taking this route many times before. I've always learn something new. Because of the changing weather, it's perfect every time. You can capture the most interesting cloud patterns along the way, the moving and sound of the ocean waves, the sea life in the ocean and the attractions along the way. My favorite path on Pacific Coast is... More

On my short trip to Cali we decided to drive the PCH from LA to Monterey and then from Monterey to San Francisco. This drive was the most amazing drive I have ever experienced. I mean, coming from Miami there is no comparison since all we have is flat land, but this was just like "WOW". It was an incredible... More
