I can't think of a reason not to love this drive. It's stunning. The vista's and pull off's, beaches and those elephant seals....wow. We did this drive with an 11 year old and 6 year old. We took the advice of many of the books and stayed at either end skipping the more expensive Big Sur but i have to... More

We drive from Monterey to Cambria, we then turned towards the sequoia park. It should have been a 3h drive it took us 5 instead. Every 2 minutes you must stop to take picture and abmire the spetacular views. Words can't descrive how beautiful this costal drive is. I did see some pictures before but been there made it a... Beware, this is a long drive; so this is for car lovers and driving enthusiasts. I have family in the Bay area and had always wanted to fly to San Diego and drive all the way to SF via Highway 1. I did drive to Anaheim and then to Santa Barbara on the main freeways but I did the driving... More

This drive will blow you away. Be prepared to make stops all along the way as it is simply stunning. This coast is one of the best I have ever seen (I am from Australia). The section through Big Sur was sensational. Make sure you take your time and break the trip up into many sections as you will want... More

Beautiful view from Nacimiento-Fergusson Road off of Highway 1 on the Central Coast of California. This road goes from the coast over the coastal range to 101 freeway.

The views are amazing, breath taking, awesome! Words can not describe the beauty. You have to see it in person! Remember May Gray and June Gloom. The fog rolls in and can make the drive on the cliffs treacherous! The fog adds some character to the coast too! Should be on every ones bucket list! You can't be afraid of... More

Put down the dang Iphone and look out the window. Why? Because you are missing some of the most beautiful scenery available to the motoring public in this country and, because on this twisty road the next text you author might be your last. You will fill up the memory card in your camera and sort the pics out when... More

If you are anywhere NEAR the PCH, you HAVE to drive it. UNLESS you are susceptible to car sickness. The views are the most amazing that you will ever see...the rocks, the crashing waves, the hills, PHENOMENAL! The scenery is breathtaking. Be prepared to be a bit chilled, and add in time to veer off and take in the views... More
