We recently visited Lake Tahoe. We had planned to take a cruise around the lake but the costs for these cruises were vey steep. We decided to travel by car around the perimeter of the lake- turned out to be a great decision (and economical as well!) The views were breathtaking and abundant with many vistas for photo taking and... More

Beautiful location. We spent the afternoon on the beach at zephyr cove. Parking for the day is $8.00. Beach is very clean. Take a parasol as there is no shade on the beach and plenty of sun cream..

Lake Tahoe is a very big lake and it resembles a big blue ocean . Lake Tahoe looks amazing with lots of mountains around the lake . There are lots of view points and beaches around the lake . Its a nice place for weekend picnics with friends and family . There are lots of activities like trekking, and water... More

We love Lake Tahoe and were there this year for a Fourth of July weekend wedding. Except for the spectacular Firework display at Stateline which can be seen from several beaches around the south shore, I would choose a different time to visit this beautiful and popular place. The traffic, emergencies, parking made the trip less than relaxing. We stayed... More

I have been here a couple times once in the winter and it is the best place to be for the snow sportsand the nightlife. But this trip we were there on a hot summers day so the lake is the logical choice. This is a great place to go for a night or a week there is so much... More

The north shore of Lake Tahoe is simply beautiful. I particularly enjoy relaxing at Kings Beach. There are many eateries, shops, activities but it is also nice to just relax at a sandy beach. They charge a small fee for parking but it is worth it.

Beautiful lake, heavily developed. Nice if you like a lake in the city. Rent a speed boat for only $750 per day!

We took 2.5hr drive from Sacramento to get to Lake Tahoe.. The roads to Lake Tahoe can be winding so get some candy (especially those who cannot take such drives).. There are many eateries nearer to the Lake.. So no need to worry about starving! There are also comfortable lodgings nearby the lake!! Make sure u slap some sunscreen and... More

One of the first things you should do when arriving at Lake Tahoe, is to continue on and drive around the lake. This will give a good understanding of the massive size of the lake and also a good start to appreciating the breath-taking scenery. This month (May) presents a good example of all climates, which we experienced on the... More
