This is our 3rd family trip to Lake Tahoe area, and it never gets boring. Scenery all around is utterly stunning, with some of the best views to be had at viewpoints at emerald lake, and the heavenly gondola. There is loads to do both in both South Lake Tahoe and in Tahoe City in north, with numerous excellent ski... More

We stayed at Reno, NV for a few days. Stayed at Comfort Inn (it was a comfortable, enjoyable stay, very nice, reasonably priced hotel). It was May. We drove to Lake Tahoe and spent a day there. It was sunny, but cool. Lake Tahoe is absolutely magical & stunning. Heaven on Earth. I was lucky enough to be able to... More

Lake Tahoe is absolutely spectacular! There is plenty to see, plenty to do, but best of all perfect for relaxation as well. The lake itself is beautiful. We stayed in North Lake Tahoe which is so nice, but it seemed as though the south was just as nice. You can't go wrong with this place period. Fun for the entire... More

I have seen most of the continental U.S. by car over my life time. The Lake Tahoe is one of the most beautiful places of all that I've seen. Yes we are in bit of a drought at the moment, but these things tend to work themselves out over time. But 'Tahoe' is great both in Winter and Summer. Most... More

My husband and I came to visit Lake Tahoe via Kingsbury Grade (Road 207) coming off Highway 395. It was a beautiful drive and one that almost kept me from asking my husband if "we're there yet?". This place sparked my interest from watching Bonanza on TV and I was not disappointed when I saw the lake. We arrived in... More

Just love being here in Tahoe. So many fun things to do. If you like the slots, there are plenty of them. The array of shopping is good, with lots of fun antique and thrift shops to visit. The scenery is so beautiful, it's a dream to take pictures.

When In Lake Tahoe, go up to the Ridge and enjoy a cooking lesson provided by Steve Moire. He was the chef at the Tavern on the Green in New York City and he presents the "Zen" of cooking. The class starts at 4 pm and goes until 9 pm. You learn how to prepare an appetizer, main course, and... More

It was my first experience of snowfall and what a beautiful setting Lake Tahoe was for that. We lived in a cabin and enjoyed snow mobiling, driving to Emerald Bay and visiting the quaint stores and art galleries. A really enjoyed experience in the middle of winter. Soul food.
