My husband and I visited Lake Tahoe in September during the Labor Day week. We stayed in Stateline, NV, and walked across the street to Lake Tahoe, CA. This area is one of the most beautiful I have seen in my travels out West. The lake reminds me of the Caribbean with its crystal clear blue water. Add the Sierra... More

Went with my wife, daughter, her husband and their 2 1/2 year old son for a weekend from 5 Sep to 7 Sep. Stayed in a beach resort called Franciscan Lakeside Lodge. The lodge was decent, with well equipped kitchen that allowed us to make our own breakfast. Due to our visit during the first week of Sep, with schools... More

My husband and I went to Lake Tahoe to see an Eagles concert but were also very excited about seeing this much talked about region of our country. We were not disappointed in either the Eagles concert or the beauty of the area. The pines are straight and tall, the air so clean and clear and perfumed with the scent... More

The lake is beautiful. Has various beach. You can simply enjoy taking bath, if you are not adventurous. Otherwise, you can do gliding, water scooter, kiting, speed boat etc. Best time to go August to September. If you like skiing, its better to go in December to February

Two weeks in this wonderful mountain lake district was not enough! I had a ball. Amazing scenery, a multitude of hiking & biking trails, beach yoga classes and awesome boating. All this within easy driving distance of Yosemite, another wealth of adventure. I think it's a must visit in the USA.

We spent 4 fabulous days in south Lake Tahoe and every day was sunny and gorgeous. Our favorite sights to see were Sand Harbor (great beach for everyone). You can rent all kinds of fun water toys- paddle boards, waverunners, etc and is great area for kids to swim. Water temperature was 68 degrees in late August. The colors of... More

Lake Tahoe is a major tourist attraction in both Nevada and California. It is home to a number of ski resorts, summer outdoor recreation, and tourist attractions. Snow and skiing are a significant part of the area's economy and reputation. Mountain and lake scenery are attractions throughout the year. The Nevada side also includes large casinos. This time round we... More
