We took 2.5hr drive from Sacramento to get to Lake Tahoe.. The roads to Lake Tahoe can be winding so get some candy (especially those who cannot take such drives).. There are many eateries nearer to the Lake.. So no need to worry about starving! There are also comfortable lodgings nearby the lake!! Make sure u slap some sunscreen and... More

One of the first things you should do when arriving at Lake Tahoe, is to continue on and drive around the lake. This will give a good understanding of the massive size of the lake and also a good start to appreciating the breath-taking scenery. This month (May) presents a good example of all climates, which we experienced on the... More

LAKE TAHOE is one of the most beautiful lakes to tour. It has something for everyone, bike trails, kayaking, sailboat, speedboat, and canoes, Beautiful trails along the lake, over by BLISS, and Emerald Bay,with spectacular views of the lake, Fishing is good , and beaching is better. A wonderful place for family vacations, we have not missed a summer in... More

Grahams Restaurant and the Christy B&B are places I keep coming back to, this time for a function, film edit, followed by dinner and a convenient (and very affordable) weekend ski trip. Christies was the home of a founder of the NY Stock Exchange so you can imagine it is very very nice. 'Value" and "Good old fashioned" silver service... More

My wife and i spent our 40th wedding aniversary at lake tahoe.I have been breathless ever since. My favorite site was the view from atop the Heavenly Mt ski lift. It was well worth the money.Be sure to go all the way to the top. The view from there is unbelivable. We are looking forward to going back again on... More

A stunningly gorgeous lake with some of the most scenic views anywhere. It's what Mark Twain said was like a "piece of heaven broke off and fell to earth". You would do well to spend some time here to truly take in and enjoying all that it offers. There are numerous resorts/hotels, campsites for rustic camping as well as RV... More

Lake Tahoe in the summer is a ball. Beautiful and adventures are all around. We stayed at a rented condo which was marginal.. but we were out every day and night anyway, enjoying the lake, beaches, bicycling, nearby lakes and drives. Next time we'll stay closer to the lake althought climbin the hill to our condo and glimsing 'over the... More

I travelled to Lake Tahoe in March 2013 for a skiing trip. We were lucky enough to get a free condo in Incline Village so hired a car and decided to try a few of the different ski resorts in the area. Diamond Peak was a good place to start. They make ski lessons affordable so it's great for beginners... More

One of the best attraction in Calif. Been there many times, it is a treat every time. There are many places to stop and see the view. Lots of places to eat and stay. It will take about 6 hours to drive around, but if you stop, which you will plan on the whole day.
