Best place to be live from childhood to adult. Rancho Palos Verdes is a Peninsula. Horse area. Homes with 360 degree view of the world. I woke up to see views above the clouds. Thanks MoM & Dad!

We started in San Pedro and drove actually all the way through to Malibu Beach. The Palos Verdes Scenic Drive was out favorite by far. We enjoyed the drive, the views were amazing. It was tranquil and we stopped at our leisure. Went to the lighthouse which we could not come close to but we parked and found the area... More

When you are in Southern California don't forget to visit Palos Verdes Peninsula. It's an amazing area with a beautiful scenic coastal drive. Definitely worth a visit!

On May 05, and May 08, my husband and I visited 4 of the (5?) cities on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. I have a cousin that lives in Palos Verdes Estates and I must say though California has its high taxes, mudslides, wildfires, earthquakes and the Andreas fault, but if I had a chance to live in either Palos Verdes... We drove north to south, starting from Orange County, and stopped at several locations using the wikitravel guide... Malaga Cove Plaza - Almost all closed on a Sunday morning. The fountain is nice but you could also skip it. Neighborhood Church - Nice coastal views. Didn't walk around the grounds but there are several low-profile mission-style buildings. The houses in... I've been doing this drive at least a couple of times a year (and, of course, more frequently when we lived near the PV Peninsula) since the late 1950s/early 1960s. It's always been spectacular! At night with a full moon and all the stars...what bliss!! In fact, if we have time after the "Taste of San Pedro" festival at Pt.... More

The best way to enjoy the Palos Verdes area is by car and by hiking or biking along the coast. There are several places to pull over and enjoy the view, amazing cliffs overlooking the Pacific. While hiking along the sea-cliffs you may notice the many lizards and Eucalyptus trees along the paths. Trump built a golf course along the... More
