Sadly we did not have enough time on our way to Las Vegas to do this place justice. The walk across the road bridge is brilliant and the Carl Hayden Visitor Centre is packed with interesting information from prehistoric times to the building of the bridge and dam. Did not realise that there is more cement in the Glen Canyon... More

This hotel is lovely and pools clean with towels - no lifeguards Friendly staff but not very helpful Breakfast not worth the dollars - go to the Safeway supermarket in Page - fridge in room The main Restaurant is hit & miss - food yummy but service very poor and do be sure to check your bill as they charged... I've been to many beautiful places (Caribbean, Hawaiian Islands, SoCal Beaches) but this was simply outstanding. Some canyons on this lake had cliffs so high we couldn't photo the entire thing from our wave runner. The water was crystal clear and in some fingers, turquoise like the waters of the Caribbean. The landscape changes from place to place but is... More

This was a two night stop on our recent road trip through UT and AZ. The town of Page itself left quite a bit to be desired, but this lake is beautiful. Definitely geared more toward boaters...we were only there on a road trip and wanted a swimming beach. The ranger at one of the gates recommended the beach near... More

If you go to Lake Powell, even in the off season, is very beautiful. The downside is that during the off-season, not a whole lot to do. But you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the area, as well as being able to wake up without pounding feet or kids screaming through the hallway or resort. It is also... More

Rented a houseboat at WahWeap Marina to spend five days on Lake Powell. Finding a cove and floating in the water amongst the red buttes and sandstone formations was just the best. Kayaking was great, too. The water was warm, the views magnificent ~ what a relaxing vacation. It takes a lot of planning to houseboat on any lake but... More

Rented a 46' houseboat at the Wahweap Marina and spent 5 days out on the lake. What great experience. If you like water, you'll love Lake Powell. Docked our boat among the many sandstones beaches and cove in the various and numerous canyons of the lake. To many amazing views to describe. You really have to see it to believe... More

Lake Powell was created by flooding a vast and marvelous landscape of high butes to create a huge reservoir in a landscape of sandstone cliffs and butes. Taking a boat tour to Rainbow Bridge National Monument gave us an opportunity to see quite a bit of the landscape. While I appreciate the benefits that the dam brought in allowing development... We took a cruise on Lake Powell, passed magnificent rock formations, passed the Glen Canyon Dam and went into the Colorado River. Definitely worth the trip. Drink a lot. It's very hot and dehydration us a real concern. And wear sun block and a large hat.

Our family has been going to Lake Powell since it opened in the 60s. We owned a houseboat during the 80s and 90s, and had a great experience with the Discovery XL we rented in 2004. But the Wahweap houseboats are really dated now and not aging well. We paid for the evening check-in which was supposed to be between... More
