It is a "not natural" lake, but still very exceptional.... a dreamland of rocks and water you will never forget.... a must for your visit in the various other "national parks" all around...

We had the best time spending all day on the water and the beach. The water was calm and warm. The scenery was so beautiful,

After many promptings from a special friend, the "king of fun", our family took his advice and traveled from SE Iowa, our 9 passenger Moriah boat in tow, to the magnificently unique Lake Powell. We rented a houseboat for 3 days, and explored the many wonders in and around this huge body of water surrounded by desert and incredibly beautiful... More

My review is just based on a scenic drive and short stop at Lake Powell in late October. We had some extra time in Page so visited Lake Powell. We were actually planning to do the Agua Tierra Trail that starts at Lake Powell Lodge but it wasn't right along the lake as I had imagined/hoped (or we couldn't find... More

The boat trip is wonderful as the docent was very knowledgeable and shared all that with us. However, if you stay at the Lake Powell Resort and Marina, do not expect good service at the resort. We stayed 2 nites. Our rooms were not ready when we got there at 3pm. nor were they cleaned when we returned the next... More

I second the review from Moovis. We were first time houseboat renters but got extensive coaching from friends that were experienced. Fortunately we had 3 engineers on this trip as we had an abundance of problems with the equipment including finding ourselves adrift in the middle of the lake on our speedboat without a functioning radio! We survived it all... More

the location is awesome! the tours etc from the hotel are also quite good but the rooms were a bit dated and the quality of food at the 'fancy' restaurant was NOT worth the money! the pizza pub on the premises was fine..... it was really strange to have someone knock on our door at 9 a.m. for room service!... Leaving Page and travelling over the suspension Bridge give a sense of awe at the engineering achievements people made in the evolution of America - take a trip through time - from Dinosaur tracks found during excavations and the story of the early pioneer boatmen who breached the fast flowing rivers to the construction of the hydro-electric dam to harness...
