Lake Powell is simply amazing. We stayed at Waheap Campground and rented a boat from there. Our jaws dropped at every turn. Though the channel gets crazy bumpy as you go from Waheap to the main body of the lake, the ride is well worth the trouble. It is beautiful beyond decryption and I am so glad that we were... More

Nine of us just spent the first week in June celebrating my birthday from the deck of a 48' Navigator. For the first six days we saw nothing but clear skies and warm temps, and used our three tandem kayaks every day to explore the outer reaches of several canyons. But on the seventh day... We were heading from Dungeon... More

As usual, the service/info at the W. Resort was not tops, and the woman at the entry gate to the park had no idea about some famous triathlon races descending onto the area yearly!!! However and despite of this, we had fun, as always there. The park delivers, the boating and swimming is great. Waters warm and pleasant at this... More

We LOVE this vacation spot! We've made it our annual vacation spot and the kids love it. We tent camp for a week and rent a boat/tube. We take the boat out each day and spend the entire day exploring. There are little beach spots to post up at for the day. The kids swim and explore. It is absolutely... More

A wonderful place to take the family for a week of sun, water, and hiking! So much to do at Lake Powell! Be prepared to spend a little money to get the most out of it but if not up to that, there is a lot you can do for virtually no cost! You won't believe the beautiful scenery or... More

You must have a boat for this place. House boats are expensive so invite lots of friends. Spring and fall are the best. Too hot June, July and August

We were on a Tauck Canyonlands Tour and Lake Powell was our second stop. The top two attractions were the airplane flight over Lake Powell and the the Colorado River Raft float. The flight takes you over the lake to Rainbow Bridge and back. You feel the massive size of Nature and the splendor of the rock formations on this... More

I was shocked at my first visit to Lake Powell. Rather than the beautiful blue waters surrounding the red rocks of Northern Arizona, Lake Powell is mostly a small grey river having lost a shocking 110 feet over the last many years due to drought in the West. In visiting the Antelope Point Marina, we were told the lake used... More

Pristine, Beautiful.........God's creation at its finest. Our "place to go" every spring and fall! So much to see, so much to do! Camping is fantastic there at Wahweep too. Just one of my favorite places on earth!! Tried to submit pix but wasn't working - sorry.

Well a friend once said to me that this was her favorite place 'on earth'. This is someone who has travelled some. So after a comment like that I had to add it to the 'bucket list' and see for myself. You should go at some point in your lifetime if at all possible.
