After a day on your feet this climb will sort you out. The view from the top in early evening, when it is cooler, is brilliant with views across Holguin and towards the coast. It is a place that the locals use as training run, yes run as they run up the 465 steps to the top. Easy to find... More

It is nice during the day but during the night too. The city of Holguin is magnificient with his lights during the night. There is a good restaurant there. This is a place to see.

This is an amazing site and if you have the opportunity to have someone from Cuba take you to this site other than a tour instructor it would be worth it. The history lesson that you can learn is very interesting. For those that are not physically fit, I would not recommend you attempting to walk up the hill as... More

This monument is breath taking and sad at the same time. Your tour guide will give you a detailed explanation. Be prepared...there are alot of steps to get up to it!!

Very romantic and awesome view at night. Take one of the 1950s or 1940s taxis! Area had police on duty, and was not crowded at all.

The later you leave it the hotter it gets and as the day warms up kids arrive to escape the olds which can make you feel a bit intrusive. The view from the top is great and there's a good cafe to sit and enjoy a well earned beer or glass of rum.

We walked up here from the bottom and the view was great. There was a little Cuban market in the small church at the top. Wonderful place to be with family and friends.

Great view of the city and surrounding hills/mountains. Hard climb up the stairs, but worth it, bring a bottle of water for the way up and go early morning or when the sun is setting. Take a taxi there if you are old or lazy. I went up walking 3 or 4 times. There was a older Cuban guy man... More

460 (big) steps to the highest point in the city. Good views of the city all around. There's a bar at the top as a reward.
