Lovely warm and soft sand. No stony pebbles in this water. You walk in and bathe in the warmth of the sea. The life guards are friendly and professional. Yes there are people trying to sell you stuff. Remember this a poor country, so I for one can't hold it against them. As for the peanuts, give them a try... More

This beach is really great for us sun-dogs... the water is fantastic, the beach is cleaned daily and best of all there's a coral reef just a few hundred feet offshore. You can swim out at low tide but best to go out on a paddle boat or a sea kayak and that way have a place to hang onto... More

Just back from 2.5 weeks in lovely Cuba. we took the horse carriage from our resort to Gyardalavaca markets, we didn't see the beach till almost the end but well worth it. walk straight through the market, lovely beach, palapa's, Cuban local type food and music. there are also some beach bars and a great get away from the report... The beach is very clean, a couple local beach bars to serve cold drinks, not to many people there, so lots of room to move about

If you want to have an awesome time search out Victor the cab driver in front of the Atlantico Hotel and ask him to find his friend Orlando the English tour guide. We took a day trip from the hotel to Santiago de Cuba with these two and it was our best yet outing. Tell them Kate and Allan from... More

One of the best beaches in Cuba. Lovely for snorkelling, no need to rent a boat. You can swim until the corals with no problem. I recommend visiting this beach.

White powder sand, clear warm waters just like getting into a bath tub. Great water sports, quite a few restaurants and bars. This is a local beach great to see families enjoying themselves.

The beach is long and the sand great and very soft. The sea is just beautiful. Dive school, a couple of bars, watch out for the peanut sellers and ensure you bargain well for your purchases. We had a great day here.
