Stayed at the Playa Costa Verde resort in Holguin. Great staff overwhere, and the resort was very nice. Highly recommend it. A bit of rocks on the beach in the water in front of the resort but the beach is beautiful. I would walk down a bit either way when I want to enjoy a swim and surf. Recommend top... More

The round trip bus fare is very low (5 pesos) for a morning trip. The local souvenir market is OK and the white sand beach is very pleasant, There are also some nice beach bars in the area. We learned later that it is possible to walk further down the road to a shopping area with stores, but we didn't... More

The market is nice to look around, but walk to the end of it and the steps lead you down to the beautiful beach. There are several friendly bars selling ice cold drinks and playing music. We used the "hop on/hop off" bus and spent a few hours at this beach.

Find Senior mojito bartender and he will fix you a great drink. In Nov. there were only 2 bars set up on the beach, I would have more activity.

There was so much garbage washed up on this beach and Esmerelda beach. All kinds of debris included shoes, wrappers syringes. Have never been to a beach this bad in any resort area.

Beautiful beach, many locals and it is over populated by locals on the weekend. They are asking you to buy their wares or flat out begging for money or the clothes off your back and such, it does get a little bothersome.

We have visited this beach often. It is a public beach. If you are staying at a resort in the area it is an easy cab ride or walk from most hotels. There is a flea market that has much better deals ten the hotel and there are many small snack bars on the beach. It is lively and always... More
