We had an amazing guide, the only thing we could recommend would be making a decision on which winery you will visit early enough. Most stop serving lunch at 3pm.

We started our day trip with this short bus tour. It was easy to do jumping on the ferry in Auckland then having the bus waiting upon arrival. Waiheke is a small islands with many twisty turny roads so we got a good feel for the layout of the island on the tour and enjoyed some beautiful vistas. We were... More

Great little tour of Waiheke island. Bus driver was great and very comical. If you want something to do on a quiet day or would like to explore the island, I recommend this.

I bought a ticket on the Fullers Waiheke Explorer Tour as it is more than 30 years since I had been to Waiheke. The tour takes about one and a half hours and once you reach Onetangi the driver then gives you the option of staying on the bus and returning to Matiatia or he will let you off along... More

The tour is quite flexible. As soon as we got the island, the guided tour showed us all the scenic points and the introduction was very helpful for us to plan the rest of the day. The all day bus pass is very useful to go around. The only disadvantage is the bus runs every one hour. Better to pick... More

If you want to see a good amount of Waiheke Island take the explorer tour. The driver (a local) took our family and others to all the good locations, stopped several times for photo's, morning tea etc.

Booked the tour in advance of arriving in Auckland. Very efficient service. Tour was exceptionally good value for money. Driver very friendly and informative. Would recommend this tour.

I agree with most of the previous reviews. This was a good way of seeing the island to figure out which places to explore in detail later. Very friendly service at the ticket counter in Auckland and then with Royce as the tour guide in Waiheke Island. I thought I saw enough of the island during the tour that I... More

While it's not really cheap or expensive, the price also includes a full day bus ticket that you can use to roam freely around the island. Just note that the buses often go only hourly. The short ferry ride allows you to snap some nice photos of Rangitoto and Devonport as well. Upon arrival, the guide will be waiting there... More

yes, Glenn, our tour guide will tell you to turn off your cell phone, as you are on holiday and should be enjoying the sights. He was dead right, the sights were incredibly. Glenn was outstanding as a tour guide, and lots of fun, with plenty of whit. It was a great bus trip, and would do it again, just... More
