We toured Waheke Island with a private guide. He was very shy and quiet and although he knew a lot about wine,.,, it was hard to make conversation with him. Also, we were scheduled to go back on a 4 PM ferry and he suggested we go back earlier, as if trying to get rid of us.

Hi, Firstly thanks for booking your tour with Ananda Tours and coming all the way from New York to visit our far away Island of Waiheke! We appreciate the time an effort required to review our tour company and share your experience and feelings about your day out with us. Whilst it is always disappointing to receive “average” feedback, it... More

We booked the wine tasting tour on Waiheke Island. It was excellent in all aspects. Simon was out tour guide for the day. He was waiting to pick us up at the ferry when we arrived on the island. We also had two other couples on the tour. Simon was a very fun and knowledgeable tour guide for the island.... More

An amazing day including the most delicious food and wine. Our guide nick was lovely and very curtious. Waiheke Island was a dream place and the wine tastings at the local vineyards were superb including lunch at Mudbrick Vineyard restuarant. I call it 'Living the dream"........ :-)

Ananda Tours is a family run tours company operating on Waiheke Island for the past fifteen years. We booked the three of us on the Wine Tour which included 3 excellent vineyards Obsidian, Goldie and Jurassic. Nigel who with his wife owns the company was our guide and did an excellent and informative commentary on the history and highlights of... More

Ananda Tours is a good choice for a wine tour of Waiheke. The tour cost just over 100NZ dollars and this included our transport for the day and a stop at four wineries (tasting at least four wines at each!). Our guide for the day, Simon, was really lovely and showed us around the island. A fellow Midlander, I enjoyed... More

Jenny McDonald met us at the ferry & asked us what we liked to do & how we wanted to spend the day. We enjoy seeing art, so she took us to a fabulous home & studio of an excellent painter, to an art gallery, & to an amazing/fascinating small gem of a museum of musical instruments - primarily unusual... My friend and I really enjoyed our visit to several wineries through the Ananda Tours trip. The tour organizers were flexible after we missed our ferry and came to pick us up to catch us up with the group. The tour felt very personalized, and you could tell Ananda Tours has a really good relationship with the wineries in the... More

We had a great day discovering the island. Our tour guide was very friendly, patient and had great knowledge of the island and it's history. We really enjoyed the Obsidian Winery. The lunch choice was top notch!

If you don't have a vehicle and want to see Waiheke as well as enjoy the great vineyards this is a great option. The tour guide Paul was really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We went to an Olive Tree Farm for tasting as well as seeing how the oil was made along with three wineries and a... More
