As we weren't island hopping on this trip I decided we'd have to find another way of seeing the sights of Marlborough Sounds & Queen Charlotte Sounds. There are several companies who offer cruises of one sort or another but I chose cougar line as it fitted best with our schedule. The weather during our cruise was stunning although the... More

Each water taxi we took was friendly and efficient. We were given commentary on the local area and always greeted with a big smile. They moved our bags from location to location without us even being involved. Would thoroughly recommend their services

We use cougar line for our 3 days Queen Charlotte Track. Richard who picked us up on our last day from Punga Cove to Picton gave my wife and I a great surprise! As there were only 2 of us on the water taxi and we were early, Richard then asked us if we would like to watch some dolphins... More

We used Cougar Line to transport us to and from the Queen Charlotte walking track and were very happy with the service provided. We were taken into the Sounds by Russell, who was very friendly and helpful as well as clearly knowledgable about the local area. Both of the journeys left on time and he even went the extra mile... I went on the 4 hour Queen Charlotte Walk. The ride over was great. They took extra time to check out wildlife and made sure that you knew where to go upon arrival and what time the ferry would pick you up. .I will use this company again on my next trip to Picton

Even though the driver of the boat had to turn back because he had forgotten a drop off - which delayed us by 15 mins - we got an opportunity to see Bay of Many Coves resort close up and we had a good trip to Ship Cove. Our luggage was at our hotel as planned and the pick up... More

We had a great trip to Queen Charlotte Track. What a surprise to see Queen Mary 2 in Picton. QM2 was diverted to Picton due to rough see in Wellington caused by cyclone Pam.

We were so impressed with the tour that took us to Mistletoe Bay. We had a short boat ride on queen Charlotte Sound to a nature preserve on the bay. Our tour guide was Linda who helped us identify the numerous plants and trees we saw along our walk. The walk was not strenuous and we saw several birds along... More

Enjoyed the visits to old haunts, dropping off and picking up people, mail etc. Three hours 10am to 1am, and done on the spur of the moment in on a chilly day. Sort of got the munchies. So maybe offer more than coffee, drinks and chippies

Great way to spend the afternoon. All the staff was super friendly especially Fred the Captain. He shared a lot of wonderful insights and pointed out things to see. He talked food and shared bits of Kiwilife. We would do the Bay of Many Coves trip with lunch again in a flash. Beautiful!
