I can't speak highly enough of the friendly, professional, efficient service we receive from Greg from our initial contact with him through to him meeting us off the water taxi at the end of our 4 day walk and taking us and our bags to the Ferry terminal. I have written a more detailed review under the Queen Charlotte Track... More

We organized our Queen Charlotte Track walk though Natural Encounters, and Greg and Carlie made it all very easy (not actually the hiking, but the organizing!) We stayed at their b&b our first night in Picton. Greg had all our papers ready for us and our fellow trekkers/trampers, and Carlie prepared our yummy lunches. He was there to meet us... More

We spoke to Greg at Natural Encounters a few months ago when we were planning our trip to walk the Queen Charlotte track, and within 30 minutes our adventure was sorted. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, and we got a call from Greg to confirm our accomodation in Picton, and to organise our briefing for our self guided... More

My husband and I recently did the 4 day unguided Queen Charlotte walk and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it- the scenery was stunning, the food (including the nutritious packed lunches each day) delicious and the delivery of our bags to each destination . Greg' s wonderful organisation meant that we did not have to think about anything..just walk! We... More

Greg does a great job and this was well worth it. We did the 5 day upgraded unguided walk staying at Greg's B&B at either end. See the full review under Queen Charlotte Sound.

My son and I did the 4 day unguided Queen Charlotte Walk, and loved it! Greg's preparation and organisation were faultless, even when the ferry was late (because another ferry lost it's propellor - NOT confidence-inspiring!) Furneaux Lodge is a beautifully restored, original Picton house that is picturesque, quiet and relaxing. Greg and Carly have recreated the best of the... More

Greg organised everything we needed to walk the Queen Charlotte Track from transport to lunches. What a great experience the Queen Charlotte was as Greg took care of everything for us - all we did was walk the track. Communication was always great and we were given options for accommodation etc When we booked our walk. As first time walkers... More

Three of us walked to Queen Charlotte Track after booking an unguided walk with Greg at Natural Encounters in Picton. Greg was great and organised everything including accommodation and transfers at each end of the track and provided a comprehensive briefing prior to our departure. The walk is very scenic and the accommodation each night very comfortable and your baggage... More

We did the one day Motuara and Queen Charlotte Track with the owner. We were picked up at our motel and to our surprise were the only two people on the tour/hike that day. This tour was one of the highlights of our 17-day trip through New Zealand. We boarded a boat in Picton and first visited Motuara Island. Gary... More
