4 of us did the unguided 4 day walk organised by Greg and everything ran like clockwork. (Apart from our old legs..). From our meeting on day 1 when we were provided with yummy packed lunches, to all the ferry pick ups, bag transfers, lodge bookings, special meal requests, etc etc- faultless. The instructions and maps are detailed and accurate... More

Greg did a great job making sure all was done properly. We really enjoyed Queen Charlotte Track and found his notes and suggestions to be most helpful. The accommodation on the track was perfect. Thanks, Greg.

The four day hike with one day of rest in the middle was an amazing experience and it was so easily organised through Greg who took care of everything for us. And Carlie made the most delicious packed lunch for our first day on the track.

Heartfelt thanks to Greg and Carlie from Natural Encounters who helped us shape our 4 day Unguided Walk of Queen Charlotte Track. The entire experience was outstanding - beauty breathtaking. Our experience was enhanced by Greg and Carlie's detailed yet low key organisation = no stress for us travelers. Our overnights stays (start/finish) at their bnb Ferview Cottage also a... More

I can't speak highly enough of the friendly, professional, efficient service we receive from Greg from our initial contact with him through to him meeting us off the water taxi at the end of our 4 day walk and taking us and our bags to the Ferry terminal. I have written a more detailed review under the Queen Charlotte Track... More

We organized our Queen Charlotte Track walk though Natural Encounters, and Greg and Carlie made it all very easy (not actually the hiking, but the organizing!) We stayed at their b&b our first night in Picton. Greg had all our papers ready for us and our fellow trekkers/trampers, and Carlie prepared our yummy lunches. He was there to meet us... More

We spoke to Greg at Natural Encounters a few months ago when we were planning our trip to walk the Queen Charlotte track, and within 30 minutes our adventure was sorted. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, and we got a call from Greg to confirm our accomodation in Picton, and to organise our briefing for our self guided... More

My husband and I recently did the 4 day unguided Queen Charlotte walk and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it- the scenery was stunning, the food (including the nutritious packed lunches each day) delicious and the delivery of our bags to each destination . Greg' s wonderful organisation meant that we did not have to think about anything..just walk! We... More

Greg does a great job and this was well worth it. We did the 5 day upgraded unguided walk staying at Greg's B&B at either end. See the full review under Queen Charlotte Sound.

My son and I did the 4 day unguided Queen Charlotte Walk, and loved it! Greg's preparation and organisation were faultless, even when the ferry was late (because another ferry lost it's propellor - NOT confidence-inspiring!) Furneaux Lodge is a beautifully restored, original Picton house that is picturesque, quiet and relaxing. Greg and Carly have recreated the best of the... More
