Greg does a great job and this was well worth it. We did the 5 day upgraded unguided walk staying at Greg's B&B at either end. See the full review under Queen Charlotte Sound.

My son and I did the 4 day unguided Queen Charlotte Walk, and loved it! Greg's preparation and organisation were faultless, even when the ferry was late (because another ferry lost it's propellor - NOT confidence-inspiring!) Furneaux Lodge is a beautifully restored, original Picton house that is picturesque, quiet and relaxing. Greg and Carly have recreated the best of the... More

Greg organised everything we needed to walk the Queen Charlotte Track from transport to lunches. What a great experience the Queen Charlotte was as Greg took care of everything for us - all we did was walk the track. Communication was always great and we were given options for accommodation etc When we booked our walk. As first time walkers... More

Three of us walked to Queen Charlotte Track after booking an unguided walk with Greg at Natural Encounters in Picton. Greg was great and organised everything including accommodation and transfers at each end of the track and provided a comprehensive briefing prior to our departure. The walk is very scenic and the accommodation each night very comfortable and your baggage... More

We did the one day Motuara and Queen Charlotte Track with the owner. We were picked up at our motel and to our surprise were the only two people on the tour/hike that day. This tour was one of the highlights of our 17-day trip through New Zealand. We boarded a boat in Picton and first visited Motuara Island. Gary... More

We were welcomed from the ferry by Greg who then took us back to our motel and went over the Queen Charlotte walk that we were embarking on the next day. Everything was well organised and Greg was knowledgable with regard to the track as he had been a guide for many years. The accomodation etc that was organised was... More

We had a truly delightful trip. The scenery was spectacular along Queen Charlotte Sound from the various boats that we travelled on and from the 73kms of trail that we walked on. (go us!) The places that we stayed in were lovely, set among the trees and ferns and with delicious dinners (with great NZ wines available to purchase), breakfasts... More

Our group (two couples, two singles, ages 2x70, 60, 59, 2x57) booked a 4 unguided walk of the Queen Charlotte track, taking the option of everything bar grog. Everything went like clockwork, accomodation and food exceeded our expectations, even the weather was OK. The track itself was great, and we all had a most enjoyable holiday at very reasonable cost... More

My wife and I did the 5 day Queen Charlotte walk with Natural Encounters and it was fantastic. Our accommodation and food were of the highest standard and everything was thought of to make our 5 days, memorable. Mary, our guide, was excellent and added to the beautiful scenery with her local knowledge. Our thanks to Greg and Mary for... More
