As we were due to arrive in Blenheim station at 11.45 the tour had been booked from 2.00pm. When we called to confirm the booking the day before it was suggested that we get picked up earlier so we could have lunch at the first vineyard. We went straight from the station to the hotel and were picked up 15... More

If you’re traveling from Wellington on a day trip as I was, this tour involved a 3 hour Cook Strait ferry crossing to Picton beginning early in the morning and 3 hours back to Wellington. I didn’t mind because it was all part of the adventure for me. The tour took us to 4 wineries and a chocolate factory (bonus... More

We've been picked up by bus directly at our campsite. This way we could both enjoy the tasting in all five wineries and the chocolate factory. Franc our tour guide made the tour very enjoyable. He had a big knowledge and a great sense of humour. I had forgotten my camera at the previous winery and he immediately went back... More

We did the full day tour. We were able to book the night before with free pickup from our picton accomodation which was good as another company we looked at were charging $40 for pickup. Annette was a fantastic guide who made the day really enjoyable. Really impressive local and wine knowledge as well. Recommend this company.

I went on a wine tour today with sounds connection and it was wonderful. Informative and interesting. They picked me up from the airport and Sam gave a very detailed background of the history of New Zealand and the region whilst we were on our way to pick up the others in our tour. I would not hesitate to recommend... More

We decided to have a personal wine tour, arranged with our hotel, rather than the set tour. Although pricey, $100 p/hr, it was a great day. Annette was an excellent guide. We visited 4 wineries including a personal tour at Dog Point, chauffeured around the vines with the owner! It makes a big difference touring with an expert and I... More

We were treated to the best Xmas Eve present when we booked Sounds Connection for a Gourmet Wine Experience, Sarah at their Picton Office arrange everything with nothing overlooked. Originally there was supposed to be another couple join us for the tour but their ferry from Welllington was running late but that was no problem. Sam our driver and guide... More

We had Sam pick us from the Picton terminal. He seemed knowledgable about the history of Picton and wineries. He didn't follow the schedule as given on the website and made a silly comment "there are only a few hours in a day and not possible to do everything". It doesn't make sense to have a schedule with the list... More

Had a great afternoon out with Sounds Connection, our driver John was a mine of information and added to our trip. We visited several wineries in our three and a half hour trip, cost was around $69.00 each, our group was seven persons and with Johns leadership we had a great time. Highly recommended Sounds Connection really went out of... More

Really knowledgable guide (Sam) who kept the driving portions interesting and seemed to really love what he was doing. The place we stopped for lunch was lovely and the cellar hosts all greeted us warmly. Would recommend!
