This was a trip I'd really been looking forward to for months. When I arrived at my B&B the day before the trip was booked I was told it was cancelled as no one else was booked. I would have appreciated an email myself as a courtesy.

We were looking for a different way to see the beautiful Marlborough Sounds. We were delighted with our day out with Leicester, he was so knowledgable about the area. The little boat was easy to handle and great fun. I loved the lunch stop and swim on a deserted beach. Thanks very much

It was our first experience with the motor boats and all of us thoroughly enjoyed it. Specially, my daughters loved it. Leicester is very knowledgeable about Marlborough. He ensured that everyone had a safe and enjoyable trip. The best part was driving your own motorboat. We will definitely visit them again.

This was a fantastic way of seeing Pelorus Sound. Smaller than Queen Charlotte Sound, it was, non-the-less, spectacular. We drove our own boats (very simple and easy to use boats) and followed our guide in his. He encouraged us to drive a little round ourselves while still keeping him in our sights and away from the rocks. We saw mussel... More

What a great setup. Leicester is such a great character and knows more about the marlborough sounds than anyone else. You learn more in half a day than living there! Great fun driving the boats too. Anyone could do it.

It is the best way to explore the Marlborough sound on water. We love it. Leicester was friendly and tin boat designed by him! He gave us good safety instructions and how to operate the boat. My son rode with him, and he let the boy drive on the way back. He also took some pictures of us driving boat... More

this is an absolute must do .. I can't imagine a better way to experience the Sounds than on the water; driving your own boat makes it even more fun. Leicester was friendly and knowledgeable and very relaxed, we did the morning trip and it was amazing to see the Sounds transform as the fog lifted and the sun came... More

An invigorating two days on the Sound in Lester's self designed rocket boats. Quick to launch and unsinkable the boats skim along at a good speed and cover large areas in very good time. Not only a good time but Lester would regularly pull alongside and give history and geography lessons and answer all your questions. Lester likes to talk.... More

We want to say thank you to Leicester for a fantastic day out with him as he guided us around some of the sounds. He has great knowledge of the area and NZ and we learnt a lot from him. The scenery was amazing and a great way to spend a day.

We sought to see as much of the Marlborough Sound as possible, but see it on the water and in the bush. This excursion surpassed all our expectations and frankly is relatively inexpensive compared to the excursions offered by the cruise ship, which did not offer one like this. We were picked up early at the dock and taken to... More
