Dolphin Watch Ecotour was an excellent experience! The guides are fun and extremely knowledgable. It was comforting to know prior to getting on the boat what type of Dolphins were in Milford Sound and what was expected of the guides and of us. The tour was full of excitement and a must-do on a beautiful day in Milford Sound!

The tour of dolphins and Moturoa Island was very enjoyable. The crew were very knowledgeable. We got to see dolphins, seals, fairy penquins, and rare birds. My husband and I both thought this was one of the best things we experienced in New Zealand. Don't pass this tour up. You will learn a lot about the area in fun way.

Enjoy a fast but comfortable ride out to Moturoa Island via points of interest such as rare birds, seals and if you are lucky dolphins. The crew are experts on the natural and human history of the sound and gave us many insights into the environmental work being done to protect New Zealand's natural heritage. The crew were also warm... More

Had a great experience on their Marine Wildlife & Motuara Island Eco-Cruise. It was excellent. The crew was excellent, very friendly and well-prepared. They were very knowledgeable and open to all questions. We saw many different species of wildlife and the view from the top of Motuara Island is spectacular. I'll definitely be back and would highly recommend this to... More

This is a late review I am afraid. Better late than never to relate advice that anyone in the Charlotte Sound area should include the tour including the island visit in their plans. We went in November 2013 and the afternoon was fantastic. King Shags, dolphins galore and plenty of bird life on Motorua Island. The guides were very engaging... More

My husband sister and I had a wonderful afternoon on this tour which included a visit to the beautiful Motuara island birdlife sanctaury. The tour gives an outstanding view of Queen Charlotte Sound and the boat allows excellent viewing of the wildlife. We had spectacular views of a pod of bottlenose dolphins and hectors dolphins along with seals penguins and... More

From the helpful email communication from the team before I even got to Picton, everything about the trip was a pleasure. My daughter did get to actually swim with dolphins, we saw the rare Hectors and then swam with the bottlenose dolphins and they came up close to my daughter. Though the dolphins must think the swimmers are pretty crazy... More

We took the bird sanctuary tour and were lucky with the weather - although it did rain, it was first pleasant sat out on the front of the boat watching seals and then walking up the pathway on the bird sanctuary island. It was only as we descended the track back to the boat that the rain started, however as... More

This was a wonderful afternoon out with the staff of Dolphin Watch Ecotours. We did the trip to Motuara Island Bird Sanctuary, which includes so much more besides. An amazing view is to be had from the top of the island, after a 'chat' with a very tame NZ robin on the way! Later we saw Hector's Dolphins all around... More
