Our group of seven middle-aged ladies loved this independent four-day walking tour through the stunning Queen Charlotte Track. The wonderful Wilderness Guides took our bags on to each stop for us so we didn't have to lug too much. The walk is amazing - sometimes challenging but incredibly beautiful. We had pretty places to stay each night with good food... More

We booked a tour through our cruise ship with this company. Fabulous service, arrived at the wharf on time, and no hassles, stopped at various high points to ensure we all got fantastic photos, and we had a short walk - although the tour terminated at the day tour office, Steve ran us back to the ship after we had... We had organised a independent tour through Wilderness Guides for the Queen Charlotte track. They were brilliant and very helpful. We arrived in Picton not realising our accommodation was a quite a way out of Picton and there are no taxis in Picton. They offered to take us to our motel which was fantastic and a huge relief as we... More

From the first enquiry over 18 months ago, Wilderness Guides made the booking of the Queen Charlotte Track 5 Day Boutique Guided Tour very easy. Once we arrived everything was well organised leaving us to enjoy the glorious scenery, walking at just the right pace, superb accommodation and delicious food and wine. Patiently and capably guided by Sean who spent... More

My friend and I showed up without a prior reservation but they were kind enough to let us jump onto a full day kayak tour through the sounds. Our guide, Libby, was the best! Very friendly and took us to some great spots. She let us decide where the group wanted to kayak to but gave us options / recommendations.... More

We had a guided half day kayak tour for 4 of us. It was brilliant, our guide was so knowledgable and great fun to be with. They were happy to accommodate with timings as we were tight on time so tailored the tour to suit our needs. The kayaking was breathtaking and so much fun. They arranged for us to... More

We've just returned from an Alex guided 5 day Queen Charlotte hike. Great accommodation, boats ready and waiting at all stops, precision organisation. Gourmet meals and wine at the end of each day....even hot tubs in some locations. Alex's knowledge of the area was amazing, he coped with us talking non stop, he even organised a little Valentine's Day activity!... More

Local knowledge counts for a lot. When a group of us chose Wilderness Guides to book our walk we drew on a wealth of experience of NZ south island walking and of local conditions. Steve and the team provided a great service including transfers, accommodation all the information we needed and the whole experience was wonderful. I look forward to... More
