This unique centre provides an opportunity for nature-lovers to interact with, learn about and appreciate the unique flora and fauna of the Marlborough Sounds. The centre includes wild bird recovery areas, endangered bird and gecko breeding enclosures, and an ecotour among native bush. Day/half-day trips include a boat cruise from Picton on the stunning Queen Charlotte Sound, and an optional walk on the Queen Charlotte Track. Also an Arts Centre, cafe, and accommodation on site.

It was a nice outing - 15 min boat trip to Lochmara. Enjoyed the little "island" and what's on offer and loved the seafood chowder at the cafe.

A very special place that we will return to in the future. Lovely rooms, incredible art, wonderful food. A perfect end to hiking the Queen Charlotte Track.

Friendly service, lovely view, food moderately expensive but great. Wine expensive but take transport into account. This is one of our favourite Sounds places, also excellent place for family outings.

Great food at the restaurant, no hair dryers in the rooms, boat ride over $55.00 each was really over priced if you are staying there as well. It cost as much to there as to stay there.
