We had the option of using larger boats for our wildlife trip but thought a smaller boat would be better. How right we were, Tony, a local person, was a mind of information about the surrounding area and wildlife. His boat was able to get in closer to the shoreline and we saw much marine life including of course the... More

Tony and dog Fluffy really make the difference on this small group tour. We saw all the promised wildlife, highlights being dolphins swimming with the boat and seeing penguin swimming. An extra was seeing albatrosses out to sea - Tony headed out to get closer and we got a great sight of black browed albatrosses feeding and flying, fantastic. Tony... More

Tony's boat is small and perfectly formed. He takes out small groups of people and gets to know them all by name. He clearly loves the sea and its wildlife and he talks about them with great knowledge and enthusiasm. He will go the extra mile to get up close to dolphins, seals, penguins and seabirds. It seemed that we... More

Tony runs a great tour both informative and entertaining, we were lucky we found this tour. A small intimate and fun group tour of the Akaroa harbour. He has a cute dog on board who helps find the dolphins. Highly recommend this boat tour over the large crowded boats. We could all easily view the dolphins, penguins and seals no... More

we had a beautiful boat trip in mid-December 2014 in a small group as announced in the leaflet. The atmosphere was very familiar as Tony explained us landscape and wildlife personally and not through microphones which most of the time you can't understand a word anyway. Thanks to Tony's experience and knowledge we had the chance to see a lot... More

Had a great morning on the harbour with Tony, Cynthia and Fluffy. The weather was not the best but they still managed to give an informative tour of the harbour where they lived up to their guarantee to see Dolphins, Penguins and Seals as well as great scenery. Would highly recommend doing this whilst visiting Akoroa.

This is a great way to spend a couple of hours on a small boat cruising around the harbour with a very experienced and knowledgeable local and his dog! Tony knows exactly where to find the penguins, dolphins, seals and even the odd Albatross or 2! Very friendly and personable with some great local stories. If you want a nature... More

Tony and Fluffy the dog gave us the perfect end to our holiday. Tony was full of information taking us out to sea on a far from perfect day. He knew the routes to take to avoid causing too much rockiness and where it would be sheltered to see wildlife. Seeing Fluffy running around watching for the dolphins was amazing... More

Tony has a fantastic knowledge of the wildlife in the bay at Akaroa. We had a fabulous trip and saw dolphins, penguins, fur seals and a range of sea birds. The bost is small, so Tony can speak to younindividually and make sure you get the most out of the trip. He is enthusiastic and has awealth of knowledge and... More

We had a wonderful experience on Tony's boat. It was great to see the wide life so up close. Tony is very knowledgeable about the local heritage. It was great that the number of people was small so we could have a personal interaction. Thank you.
