We called to book the 3:15 cruise and they said it was available and asked if we could do the 12:45 cruise instead. When I said we wouldn't make the 12:45, she said the 3:15 would probably go, but to check in closer to the time of the tour. We drove all the way from Queenstown (almost 8 hours) and... More

We pre-arranged our excursion but were late arriving. They graciously assigned us a new time. The boat was comfortable, Becky and Sydney took good care of everyone on the boat, biscuits and drinks were provided, the skipper toured us around cliffs while providing history and information about the birds and sea life, persistence paid off and we were able to... Informative trip on conservation in the area. Very up to date craft with a helpful skipper who kept us informed at all times and did his upmost to give us sightings and photographic opportunities of the small blue penguin,Hectors Dolphins, fur seals and bird colonies. His other crew member provided us with drinks and cookies and she was always on hand... More

Had a nice time watching the dolphins and seals, nice people on the boat. They have a dog that looks out for the dolphins. They offer you a drink and a biscuit.

Entering Akaroa harbour on a cruise ship is an experience in itself, sailing up a dramatic caldera with a steep, rugged shoreline. No sooner were we tendered ashore than we were aboard the wildlife cruise and offered a cold drink. The boat is modern and very well maintained and passenger numbers limited so everone could move about as they wished.... More

I traveled over the hill from the city- and as usual Akaroa is an oasis. The dolphin tour really is worth the trip. The crew kept a watchful eye out, pointing out dolphins hence ensuring all on board were able to enjoy the beauty of the dolphins in their natural habitat. I did get boat sick (nothing unusual for me)... More

Left in time. We got a complimentary drink at the beginning (beer, wine, Softdrinks available) and a cookie just before The end. The cruise took 2 hours, filled with lots of explanations. As advertised we saw plenty of Hector Dolphins, seal and also some penguins. Two hours well spent. They do grant a 10% discount for Top10 Club members.

While we only saw one dolphin, we still really enjoyed this cruise. It takes you out around the harbour to see caves, seals and birds. The staff on board were very knowledgeable, friendly and hospitable. Definately worth doing if you are in Akaroa.

We did the Akaroa Dolphin tour today with Akaroa Dolphins. It was a fantastic trip with true Kiwi hospitality provided by Mark and Patsy. Thank you so much! You made sure we could enjoy the beautiful Akaroa scenery and nature and you put an extra effort in to make sure that everyone's personal wishes were granted as well. We will... More
