With solitary cells and gallows Fremantle Prison is a monument to a system of punishment that is uncomfortably recent. Fremantle Prison now holds the key to history, mystery and fun. Step inside and do time with experienced guides on a fascinating Prison Day Tour. Explore the labyrinth of tunnels 20m beneath the Prison by foot and by boat on a Tunnels Tour adventure. We did the introductory 1hr 15min tour through the prison. Our guide, Janine was very informative and entertaining. Our children were tuned in to her every word! We all found the tour eye-opening.

I went with my partners family and we loved it. We went for the torchlight tour and i have to say its a great experience. Our tour guide was Simon and he was full of energy and enjoyed giving a few scares. The stories and the theatrics of it is amazing. I definitely now want to try the tunnels tour.... More

We done the full tour which included the tunnels tour, the great escapes, doing time and the torchlight tour (at night). Was a great way to see the prison from every angle. The cost was $100 for the total package. Definitely worth it. We we're there for 7 hours to complete all the tours. There is a cafe open for... More

Excellent guide with lots of interesting stories about life in the old prison. The death row and hanging room were very interesting as well.

We only did the Doing time tour because the weather was quite bad. Our guide, Chris, was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. You get to see quite a lot of the gaol on this tour - highly recommend.

It was a great experience to learn about the Fremantle Prison and little about the life of the prisoners when the prison was in use. Over all very educational, I was guided by Steve the tour guide and he was a wonderful tour guide. Informative with a touch of humour.

We opted for the 'doing time' and 'great escapes' tours. Jim Fisher was our guide for both tours. He provided us with a first hand account of life in this prison. Jim provided a realistic portrayal of prisoner and prison guard life of yesteryear in an arena that isn't commonly discussed. An extraordinary experience, thanks heaps Jim, you're amazing!

We did the basic tour, which was very informative. I wasn't expecting this tour to be as interesting as it was. People all ages will enjoy this tour. Should have done the underground tour. maybe next time
