I love this beach. The fact that there are all these massive containers and ships so close and you can see the ships coming in makes it more fun! (I'm a bit of ship spotter😆) The water is the most amazing turquoise colour and you can a have a really good walk up to Mosman after being blobby and go... More

We love getting up really early on a hot summer's day, parking in the car park and walking from Port Beach to Leighton (and watching the antics of the dogs on the dog beach!!) then walking back to Port, having a dip in the pristine water and heading off for a coffee or breaky. A beautiful beautiful beach!

Although at times being a little too windy some mid afternoons, this is a stunning beach close to excellent amenities/cafes/restaurants. Excellent for children, particularly early morning and later in the afternoon and a favourite for taking those long beach walks on the fabulous white sands. With a vista overlooking Gage Roads shipping lane, there is always some far off shipping... More

Its a beach life! Miles of sandy white beaches easing into the warm, flat ocean. Away from the hustle and bustle of busy Cottesloe beach up the road, it is much quieter and easy to access. The port is just behind you and if you look to your left you will see the cranes and containers but you look out... More

Port beach was very convenient for us on our holiday to Fremantle, but the one thing I would advise is that you go early, as the winds pick up in the early afternoon.

As is suggested by the name, this beach is very close to the port of Fremantle and you can actually see the cranes etc from the beach. Apart from that it's a fairly nice beach and doesn't seem to get too busy on weekdays.

Good little beach without the pretentiousness of Cottesloe. There is a restaurant called Salt just up the way if you are feeling the need for a cold one after your swim.

Port is down opposite the containers but you look out not in. It is the home if those stalwarts the polar bears . They are over 50's that swim every morning , rain , hail or shine, hot or cold. God love them all. They have thep swim in the sheltered safe waters and then stop fir a cuppa and... More
