Good beach

Good little beach on a sunny day plenty of car parking and space on the beach. Close walk to bib and tucker for a coldie or salt for a more low key drink.

Visiting Leighton Beach on a beautiful sunny day, is simple, healthy perfection. This is a gorgeous place to take photos of everything that is quintessentially Australian, bronzed lifeguards, laughing sandy children, lean ladies and buffed blokes. Grab a coffee at Bib & Tucker and take a stroll or enjoy a meal with a view and walk it off afterwards!

I love this beach... but not on a windy day - which is fine for surfers but not if you want to lie on the sand and sunbake - you'll get sandblasted.

Best beach in Fremantle, loads of space, good swimming, fewer jelly-fish than South Beach, nice walks, little fun waves

The thing about Perth is that the colours you see are all quite quite stunning. Sometimes the ocean is literally purple, the sea navy blue, the sand always very white, the coral patches lilac and so on. The quality is like Essouira in Morocco or Cornwall there is a special light in these places conducive to painters and artists....however it... More

I was in Perth for a vacation in June. It was winter so it was kinda chilly when we were there to catch the sunset. It is the best sunset i've even marveled at. The view was simply stunning and it is still clearly etched in my mind. Look at the pictures i've uploaded and maybe you can understand why.... More

It's long...and there's lots of sea....just like most of West Australia. But there is nothing much to see or do there except if you want a really good meal at the Bib & Tucker.

This is one of the best beaches for parking and how close it is to the actual water. Great spot for families as the water is never too rough

Leighton beach has some good waves. The sand is white and clean. The park behind the beach was very nice but unfortunately when I was there the toilet block and change rooms had been demolished to make way for a new one. I had to nip into the restaurant above the SLSA club and use their loo. This is a... More

We went ti the dog beach part and it was very busy with many families and their dogs. The part where dogs are not allowed was almost empty. The water is beautiful and you can walk into it as it gets deeply slowly and the waves are not so strong there as they are at Swanbourne beach. Very white, clean... More
