Could be mistaken for being in an island paradise on a hot summers morning! Calm seas and crystal clear water with easy access to the beach.

I think Saturday night is the night for the food markets, it is a bit of a walk but then after eating from the many food vans a walk can be just what is needed. Lovely beach and great location to watch the sunset.

During our stay in Perth we have visited this beach several times. It is particularly pleasant on those very hot days as the wind is usually cooling and the water just the right temperature. One can get quite close in the car park or by catching the free "Blue CAT" from Fremantle. The sandy beach is lovely but if it's... More

This is definitely a dog lover area. Lot's of exercise areas, etc. and 'dog access' to the beach and when we got down there lots of dogs swimming with their owners/families. I, personally, am not really an animal person - I don't mind them, I'm just not into them either, so it was a bit overwhelming for me. Lovely looking... More

One of the less crowded beaches by WA standards. Nice if you want to be away from the maddening crowd. Cafe close by.

There are two south beaches and people seem to be a bit confused. if you don't want to swim with the puppies, just go past the groyne to the south and you'll find the other South Beach. A modest beach but a pleasant one.

Fabulous views, soft white sand, yet the best part of the beach is given over to dogs - such a shame. Sea weed is also prevalent, but this is seasonal, so a little allowance has to end made! Easily accessible, and the fig restaurant is right by the beach which is a big plus.

Pretty beach and not too busy when I visited in the Australian summer. The sand is more grey than golden but the sea is nice and clear. There's lots of greenery behind the beach if you'd rather not lie on the sand, and a cafe selling all the basics.

Beach is soft sand and turquoise water. No cover so take your own and gets windy. Water cold but crystal clear. Lots of fish to see. Also had pod of dolphins swim by.
